This video is for dogs! A high pitch squeaky toy sound for 1 hour! One hour of squeaks and dog toy sounds to make them join in and bark and howl. Casper the dog loves this, judging from his barking and howling. It's a squeaky toy, or we took the squeaker out and play it like a dog whistle.

Steven Mckell!
You have--
Yeah!
2.2 million followers on TikTok
51.7 million likes
I, I don't know how many views how... how many views would that rack up?
I don't know it's something like 400 million, 500 million around that ballpark figure, which is like mad to me it's really it's insane.
I don't know I never thought I'd be able to kind of get that.
But not only that, you also have a YouTube channel, so you are the best Tik Toker I know to ask about the differences between TikTok and YouTube.
Before we get into any of that though, what is your favorite own Tik Tok video on your channel?
Oh that's the hard one!
If you ask a TikTokker this, this is hard.
I think, I think it's the one where I've done Miss Trunchbull.
I've done Matilda and pretended to be Miss Trunchbull and it got like, done really really well.
I think that's my favorite one because I think that really encompasses like my favourite childhood movie, it's acting, it's fun, people really resonated with it.
And so I like dressed up like Trunchbull, had like my hair slicked back and I had my suit on... my suit on-- my suit jacket on with like a belt and like these shorts and I was and I pretended to be the scene where she chucks Amanda Thripp over the fence - just before that?
And so I reenacted that scene with Miss Trunchbull and Amanda Thripp the little girl so it was very-- it was... I don't know what it was.
It was one of those things I was like I'm just going to film that today and we'll learn the lines and then film it and do it in like my way and it done... it done really well.
I was really proud of it and but there's a lot of videos that I'm proud of and it's really hard for me to pick one but I think that one really... that was another thing people knew me for at the end of last year.
They were like "oh you don't like-- you're like Miss Trunchbull!"
I'm like "Hehhh, I am... yes!" [LAUGHS]
And what's your video with the most views?
It's the lip challenge and it's got like, I think it's got like 34 million views or something which is madness.
It's got like 30 million views and it's basically me, this is how... this is how the Tik Tok algorithm works and how anyone can get big on it.
It was me putting like three like lipsticks like with lips, I was going to put one strip there one strip here much like... I... just like this!
It was this to the song and it was madness.
It was like the least effort you could put into a video and that done like... got the most views and everyone knew me as the, the boy... "Oh you're the guy that does lip challenges!" and I was like yeah, I know, and it's...
Even now it would be posted like every 6 months and it'd still get like 10 million views and I'm like "Why!" Why does this? Like, why do people love this?
But I think it's aesthetically like people love to watch those kind of makeup stuff.
Did I detect a slight eye roll when you gave that answer?
Are lip sync videos seen as perhaps a lesser art form?
The worst thing was it wasn't even lip sync.
It was me literally just going... [DOES LIP MOVES]
...to like smudge the lips - the lipstick - to make it look like I had like three colors of lips.
So like it wasn't even lip sync, so it's like even worse, but I think in the realm of lip syncing... so the app used to be called musical.ly, erm... which you know, we don't call it anymore and that... that traditionally was a lip syncing app.
That's how it was - It's how it got its notoriety.
However I kind've done original comedy back then and I've done lip syncs as well but original comedy and like dancing and like meme style content...
But I think now, although people that do lip sync still do very well and they can just sit in front of the camera and lip sync a song and get 10 million views... I'm not jealous... um but no, that I think that now there's a higher standard now.
Now it's a platform with... you oh there's there's so much in there and I think lip syncing is maybe seen as something that's not something like they want to push like...
"It's a lip syncing app!" because it's not now.
It used to be but now it's more like you know, if you want to really be like big on the platform and really want to be there for a long longevity you've got to kind of... you've got to be able to reinvent yourself, I think.
And you have a YouTube channel and a TikTok channel?
Yes.
Why is Tik Tok better than YouTube?
So I think TikTok's better than YouTube because, one, it's like it's shorter media.
So it's short form media, whereas you know YouTube's long form media, traditionally.
And I think with Tik Tok it's it's easy to get involved in videos or see trends that you are um you can relate to, that you can erm, that you feel like you want to do.
The thing about YouTube is that you watch a video and you're like that's great and they make me laugh, it's fun and you think I'd love to do YouTube!
However then you have to get a camera, lights, edit and it's really hard to be a YouTuber really really hard.
It's the hardest platform to gain followers on, whereas Tik Tok you can watch something and you can think to yourself "I know I can do that better" or if not I can have just as much fun as that person, and you just need to set up your camera.
So that the difference between making... to making the content's way on the other spectrum.
YouTube's harder.
TikTok is very easy.
You can upload 10 videos in the space of, you know, half an hour on... on Tik Tok and get you know triple the views you would if you'd done it on YouTube.
So I think the algorithm favours better to people, because it has like a broader spectrum of content that likes to put in the "For You" page, and so it gives people a better chance to be seen, to have fun, to interact with other people, and...
I like YouTube! I used to-- I've not made videos on that in a while and I was doing YouTube until when I was doing TikTok, like a few years, ago so I was doing both side by side, and I felt like you... your Tik Tok was just so much easier.
It was just... it's a platform where um you have to really be authentic for people to really like... to really, to really grow on it.
Whereas YouTube, you have to really have a uh some sort of... not a facade but you have to have a really different kind of push yourself like 110% whereas TikTok about maybe not as much.
I've got some zzzz'ing going on here.
Sorry I think it's a fly, my bad, there you go!
Do you know what--
That's a long-winded answer! [LAUGHS]
No, no, Steven: That is so fascinating because I hadn't thought that the actual, you know, production technique would actually have such a big effect on the what... "what you share" and how you express yourself, so have... being able to just get straight online quicker means that you put out something a bit more authentic.
I hadn't really thought of it like that.
Yeah I think that's erm... that's really, it's a really big um pull factor for when someone who starting out on social media, who wants to kind of be big.

"I QUIT YOUTUBE!" - it's something we've all heard, but is it true?
And how do you keep going?
Gordon Laing has 160k subscribers and, incredibly, uploading to YouTube since 2006.
I'm a Development Producer helping as many people as possible get ideas out of their heads to make more people happy.
I created GREAT BRITISH YOUTUBERS to help you get started and keep your YouTube channel going.
And if this were a youtube video... I should have made a video about it!
And you would do "I" and in capital letters QUIT. QUIT.
Why I quit
I've seen videos where people say "why I quit" and they didn't even quit.
It's they-- they talked about why they might quit or why somebody like them might have quitted or why they thought about quitting but they didn't quit!
[MUSIC]
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
Are there things Gordon Laing that other youtubers do that you don't think that you would ever or you tend not to do?
Unboxing.
First of all, as a word I hate that word. Unboxing.
How can you-- that's like... I, now tell you what.
This goes back to that song "unbreak my heart" which at the time I thought that's not even a word!
How do you mean "unbreak my heart"?
How about "make me feel better"?
"Cheer me up please"?
Unbreak my heart?
Unbox my camera!
And that is why I gave up youtube for three years which is, which really confused the algorithm, because I was pouring my heart into these technical reviews, right?
And testing every aspect of a camera, and trying to get that across to people... and then some kid doing an unboxing video gets more views and all he's done is filmed him opening a box.
He doesn't even test the camera or turn it on.
He just opens the box and they were getting more views.
And I was bewildered by this.
I just couldn't understand why this was more popular and it put me off so much I thought this- this- I kind of came to terms that, that's what people wanted to see or that's what people wanted to watch on that platform and that I wasn't right for that platform.
I was just some crusty old dinosaur.
So I gave up and I went back to purely written content for three years.
It didn't close the channel obviously I left it there because it was hosting my videos that were also part of my written content, but I got a right strop over and it was unboxing that did it and I still to this day would not--
Now I, I love opening boxes and some of the packaging and some things you know apple products and or some high-end consumer products - it's nice.
It's nice packaging they put some thought into it, it's cool but, I guess what they're doing is a review of the packaging if i look at it that way then it's more acceptable to me.
I think it might just be the word unbox that I have a thing about.
YOU'VE done an unboxing video.
Oh yeah, I've done lots.
I unboxed a chinese takeaway uh from, from Waitrose.
You unboxed one of my t-shirts!
I did!
In a blatant attempt to get some coverage from someone else.
It was, it was to test what merch is like!
Of course it was.
But it did have the benefit of, of plugging you to my 12 subscribers at the time, that then went down to 10.
It didn't, and it didn't um get culled in the video featured by BBC news at 6pm on BBC One.
What is the hardest part of running a youtube channel?
I think the expectations that you have for its performance not being met.
And feeling disheartened by the fact that you've put this work into something that you think should be doing better and it doesn't.
It's what affects artists of all, you know, Van Gogh was frustrated that he wasn't getting enough attention.
We're all the same.
I'm not the same as Van Gogh, obviously but everyone is- everyone thinks they're better than they are maybe or that they're not being recognised for something, um frustrated that yeah, maybe I'm not as good as I think I am, or that I do-- you know that you want the videos to do better you think they deserve better and they're not doing as well as you think.
And then you see someone else who's done the similar videos, similar subjects and theirs is doing way better than yours and you think that's just not fair.
Why is that doing better than mine?
And then you look at it and you beat yourself up over, you know, is it, is it your presentation?
Is it the thing they covered?
Is it you know, is it because they've somehow got more followers?
So they get you know they've been recommended more?
You don't know what it is, but it's- that's probably the hardest thing for me of all and um you've got to kind of stop looking at it.
Stop looking at like, well you can't help it you do look at the number of views you've had, and it does you know, if you consistently get poor views and you're seeing other people doing way better than you it can put you off long term, and it did put me off.
Like I said I quit.
I quit!
And if this were a youtube video... I should have made a video about it!
And you would do "I" and in capital letters QUIT. QUIT.
Why I quit.
I've seen videos where people say "why I quit" and they didn't even quit.
It's they-- they talked about why they might quit or why somebody like them might have quitted or why they thought about quitting but they didn't quit!
I have however started to use capitals in some of my titles, to shout.
To shout for that last bit of attention.
Please watch or I'll quit!
Gordon Laing from cameralabs thank you so much, you've been so generous with your time and literally your gigabytes because I think you know we're going to have to stitch this together now which is going to involve a massive transfer.
This video will never see the light of day because we won't be able to get the file to you.
It's true and then zoom will delete it, but before we go can you pick a favorite video idea that you haven't yet made?
Unboxing.
And you would like to make one?
I think I should.
What if it does really well?
Maybe they should all be unboxing from now on.
Who doesn't like origami?
Boxes are nice and they've put me in a box, you see they pigeonholed me in the box so why don't I talk about boxes?
That will show them.
Could the grand reveal... "REVEALED" in capitals.
WHY I QUIT UNBOXING!
This is gold.
If you reach it to end this video this, this is the gold!
This is what you pay for!
Uh Gordon thanks so much.
You're very welcome, thank you for having me.
Should we just sit here awkwardly in this two shot? And--
How are you gonna do this?
Are you gonna?
No.
This isn't cinematic enough!
Let's do it in WIDESCREEN!
Like in ABBA the movie, do you remember that?
Let's do it in widescreen!
And please hit the subscribe button if you want to see more Great British YouTubers.

[Music]
Do you want a series of reactions now?
Did you used to have to do that?
On the TV they used to ask me to do that, they'd go "can you do one more?"
You go...
They say no, now sarcastic.
Disagree.
Incredulous.
Angry.
Those are all thumbnail pictures as well!
That's-- I know! That's what you do at the end of the video.
You record your thumbnail, but I want some text and so you have to position yourself to one side... so you can put the text here...
Just before The Great Shutdown of 2020, I had to walk from Waterloo Station in London, through the South Bank past the London Eye, over Westminster Bridge, past Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Parliament Square, Westminster Abbey down Victoria Street (the most boring street in London) to Victoria Station.
So I filmed the journey, in real-time from my POV on my DJI Osmo Pocket camera.
The tourists had already gone, the South Bank was silent, the London Eye was empty and Westminster Bridge was clear.
What, you don't like the peel?!
You're like my kids.
Bit more?
Oi - get off!
Okay so this is the walkway that's opened fairly recently
Just show you what it looks like.
[MUSIC]
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
The old eurostar terminal.
[MUSIC]
This bridge used to go straight through the Shell Centre, but now goes down
Between the 2 new buildings
[MUSIC]
There's Royal Festival Hall over there
Hope you can see that
Here's what's left of the Shell Centre.
The upstream building.
[MUSIC]
So what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna walk from here to Victoria
And I'll see if I can keep the camera running.
So we're not on a lockdown yet but it feels like that's what's gonna happen by the time you watch this video.
Obviously you'll know what happened next.
But we don't know what's gonna happen
What's interesting er... slash eerie... is that this is quite a big tourist spot, and there's literally no one here.
There is literally no one around.
It's fairly early - oh hello - squirrel
Bet you're starving, aren't you.
You're starving because all the tourists would feed you.
Shall I give you a bit of apple?
Come over here. Okay.
Don't knock my camera over.
[MUSIC]
Just give him er... give him a bit of apple.
[MUSIC]
You're brave aren't you!
[MUSIC]
You don't like the peel?
You're like my kids!
There you go. Bit more?
Oi gettof! Here you go.
You don't want the apple? Let's go.
That's how desperate things are - being mugged by squirrels
Anyway oh, seriously I'm gonna have to disinfect my bag now.
Erm, what I was gonna say was look at this - this is the London Eye - the big wheel on the south bank and it's turning round but no one's on it
so I don't know if that means it's closed
but if it's closed, it's nice of them to give it a spin isn't it
it's definitely moving isn't it
No one on it it
Looks like it's moving because they're doing maintenance on it
...like removing panels and cleaning stuff
[MUSIC]
I don't know if I'm gonna put music on this - let's change that -
I don't know should put music on this - can you leave me a comment to say whether or not you'd like just a little bit of music playing in the background
[MUSIC]
There's County Hall... and Shrek's adventure
now Shrek's adventure was the home of the London County Council from the 1920s to 1986 and sealife was the seat of London government for most of the 20th century
Also it was home to the highly successful talk show Terry and Gaby on Channel 5 in the early 2000s
[MUSIC]
I don't know what those things are
I don't think you can see - just above that part of the houses of Parliament they've got like boxes on scaffolding
I'll try and cut closer to those in the edit
Wonder what they are
This is a great walking tour isn't it?
it's just an hour of me going "wonder what that is?"
[MUSIC]
I'll call it the comment tour you can leave comments -- leave fake facts in the comments
That'd be nice.
[MUSIC]
Some barriers on the bridge to stop the virus getting on
Hey it it almost - I'm not saying it's quiet - but it almost is like that scene on "28 Days Later"
Just need a bus inexplicably on its side and it would complete the feel at the moment
Some buses - will go on some of those later.
[MUSIC]
I never know if I should point the camera at me, or rather aggressively ahead of me
I don't think you wanna be looking at me though.
Portcullis House
Oh man, I really want an electric scooter
But I know I'd look a bit of a div on one.
But I don't care. I wanna be on a scooter.
[MUSIC]
Oh, you can see the clock face - I'll try and zoom in on it in the edit
it looks beautiful - it's so colourful
[MUSIC]
So I think here over here - don't - don't believe any of the so-called facts that I'm gonna make up as I go along but I believe that here is where the world's first set of traffic - traffic lights - were ever put up anywhere in the world
these traffic lights - basically the MPs over there thought it was a bit difficult to cross the road - so they passed a law to put lights up to stop the traffic - and they have been serving the nation for themselves ever since
Very magnanimous of the MPs to provide traffic lights for themselves
I think I want to go over there which is where Victoria is - so (SINGS) do I go left now or do I go right?
Something for the "Me Too!" fans there - that's "Me Too!" the Cbeebies series, not the movement to make the world better
I don't know - Me Too the Cbeebies series was a bit of a movement to make the world better
[MUSIC]
let's go this way we can see a bit more of Churchill
[MUSIC]
Cut across Parliament Square
Oh there' Whitehall where Matt LeBlanc raced a car - got into trouble with the newspapers - the newspapers that govern us.
[MUSIC]
There's Churchill - I've never been this close to the Churchill statue
I grew up in London and I haven't actually - I don't think I've ever walked across Parliament Square - I'm glad that I'm capturing this on video
So there's David Lloyd George and then erm...
I'm just reading what's on the things - there's Jan Christian Smuts - Viscount Palmerston, star of my "A" Level history.
That I've forgotten now.
Oh, that's just-- there's a lot of cyclists around, which is good.
Oh there's another statute to Gandhi, that's good.
So the other statute to Gandhi I did that on my other tour, from the top of the 168 bus - I'll put that in the description
but that's another one and - I think he's sitting down all in a meditative pose in-- near Russell Square.
Mandela!
freedom fighter and subject of my favorite Eddie Grant songs
there we go now I'm gonna cross over
Feel I have to run because the cyclists do like to go through the red lights somewhat in London.
it's a tradition
I can walk down Victoria Street - Victoria Street is a bit boring and a bit sixties in concrete so I might speed this up... or just cut it short
[MUSIC]
Westminster Abbey
[MUSIC]
Oh look - it's another hole of... "Hole of London"
I've got another video where I've put together lots of holes in London.
While they're springing up - here's one in Victoria Street, before a new building goes up.
I'm so sorry I'm gonna have to stop the video there this is a very very boring street
[MUSIC]
And for sake of completion of this video here's Victoria!
Oh, that's Hamilton
There's Victoria over there!
Run! Like a cyclist!
I hope you enjoyed this little walking tour with its completely accurate facts along the way
if you reached this point of the video why not indulge me with a thumbs up so that we know that someone reached this point that'll be really cool and if you're feeling even kinder maybe even a hit of the subscribe button
that really helps me anyway, thanks for watching I'll see you on the next walking tour
That was close!
Can you please help my daddy get 1000 subscribers just click on his face
thanks bye! how's that?
This is a video I've wanted to put together for about 4 years. It jumps around a bit.
I went to Hawley Infants School in Buck Street, Camden Town, London NW1
It's now called Hawley Infants and Primary School and it's moved. So now the old school is due for demolition. It's to make way for a new Camden Town Tube Station entrance.
I went to visit it twice, in 2017 and 2019, after going to a closing party in 2016.
It was significant for me, because my kids are the same age I was while I went there in the sometimes bleak 1970's. Everything I remember about the place, I put in this blog post here: https://neilmossey.blogspot.com/2016/03/hawley-infants-school-buck-street.html
An aggressive pusher was always lurking in Buck Street... will I even be able to shoot the video?
I went here in 1975... I think, 76?
Definitely '77 because we had the Queen's Silver Jubilee party here, and it's being closed down for-- If I go on the other side of the road.
I can never go on the other side road because the aggressive looking pusher - oh, he's back!
This is what it looks like today.
Hello I'm in Stucley Place, in Camden Town.
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
This is Buck Street.
Now I'm a quick look around, because every time I've had the camera out there's always some aggressive looking pusher over there - but some community police officers just walked past... which means that finally I can make the video of what has happened to my old school!
Hawley Infants - and here it is! I'll get out of the way now.
[Music]
This was the playground.
This is what it's looking like in 2019.
There was a party when it was leaving and let's run some footage of that now.
Look I've got the year in the corner: it was full of life and this was the last term, the last summer in this building in Buck Street, Hawley Infants - it was fantastic.
And this is what it looks like today 2019.
Back then, I showed my kids: this is where I kissed Sarah Goff - just here behind the bins.
This used to be a bin area - you can see on the floor where the wall used to be.
By the gates is where the bins used to be!
And it was here by the bins I used to kiss Sarah Goff. It wasn't my idea - she used to just take me behind the bins and say "let's try kissing!" (TO OFFSCREEN WIFE) Oh yeah, okay!
We're sitting where the toilets used to be.
There used to be a big block of toilets here. And, I used to come here a lot.
And we used to play in the playground here.
And we'd say "Who, wants to play..."
"Games!"
"Who, wants to play... Batman!"
Yeah I'm not sure my stories are going down well at all - but they're both the exact same age that I was with my sister in this photo!
So next I wanted to recreate this picture with ME standing in the exact same spot in the playground as Dad.
We didn't quite get it right... the kids aren't in fancy dress and look I haven't even got Dad's Fred Perry jumper.
There's not even any food in this one, and the kids are really fed up, so I tried it again and now the kids are just plain angry.
So I didn't quite capture the spirit of the Queen's Silver Jubilee there - so next I tried recreating something else and it's something that used to terrify me when I was six.
I just needed to find the old television room...
I'm gonna do it.
I'm back in the room where it happened, and we're watching it together.
This is the exact spot where I used to sit on the floor and watch this really scary bit of telly.
[Music]
[Music]
It was about here, I was your age - 6... 7... and it was terrifying.
[Music]
I used to look away to that window there.
"Trying not to think about it."
Yeah, I used to look out the window and try not to think about it, but I used to think about this music at night.
[MUSIC]
I'm really glad I've done that again. It's over.
[MUSIC]
It's being demolished for a new entrance for Camden Town tube.
It's looking a lot better. When I was last here, let me show you some footage of last year.
I'll put the year in the corner. That's what it used to look like.
They've cleaned it up, which is nice.
And, I don't if I can-- Right this is back to 2019, this is late August.
I don't know if you see -- this is where the nursery was.
I've got some photos of- of in there. Dunno if I can zoom in.
And it was in there that I managed to - on my first day they've got this brand-new donkey from Spain - a sort of stuffed donkey and I managed to paint it purple.
So it literally lasted about a week.
But then I moved over to Miss Collier's class and then Miss Hammond's class and she became the headmistress when I left.
Look at the old Victorian Tower. It's all gonna come down and then the-- and then the-- the nice gates that were here a few years ago... they've obviously moved to where the new school is now, and these are what the gates look like now. Yeah, it's gorgeous.
Uh-oh, getting bad looks again. (OFF SCREEN) "YO, BIG MAN..."
[MUSIC]
And this is what the gates look like now.
Not quite the same is it.
I've got some cars behind me.
I'll give you the full effect in a minute.
Those beautiful gates obviously not there anymore. That's it. Bye bye Hawley Infants. This is one year on.
So that's it! That's my memories of Hawley Infants from the last two years in one video.
I don't know if I'm in focus - I'll keep going.
I hope if you've managed to get to this point in the video, why not click the thumbs up just to let me know someone reached this point.

Bye-bye t-shirt... so sad
"Then you fold either side to the middle and you have yourself cloth face covering - it's that easy!"
Hello I'm Neil Mossey - welcome back to the happy hut!
Usually I'm a tightwad dad just trying to be happy with what we've already got - like these words on the screen say.
But right now we're in the great shutdown of 2020 and every day I'm trying to find something new, and today it's this!
THIS IS A TRANSCRIPT - CLICK ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
So this is foot-- as you can see footage of me, in Lidl wearing a face mask.
It's my first time - my first trip to a supermarket with a face mask.
Obviously there was no one who could hold the camera for me so I just propped it up on a shelf - walked past.
You'd think I'd be more uncomfortable with that, than the wearing the face mask - but look at me.
I'm getting milk and I'm breathing on a much smaller radius, but my face mask is homemade and this is how you make a DIY face mask.
That's... that's the video and if you're looking this up on YouTube, firstly hello!
Welcome.
Say hi in the comments - it'd be lovely to hear from you, but if you are looking up "how to make a DIY face mask" on YouTube, you've probably been through exactly the same thought process as me.
If you just want to jump straight to making the face mask, I'll put the the time on the screen now.
This really pushes a button for some people.
If face masks aren't your thing I think it might be best if you hit stop now and I'll see you on the next video.
But for the rest of us, hello, I completely understand why this this really pushes a button for some people... and they leave the comments, you know...
"You're not a doctor"
"Ughhh"
"It's not effective... ughhhh... N95..."
I get it! But this video - this video is of a doctor in New York.
He just happens to be an intensive care respiratory expert as well, but he made this video call to his family where he's explaining that the reason that he wears a face mask is to stop him touching his face.
And I touch my face all the time!
Most of the day I spend with my head in my hands.
Look here's a photo that a friend took of me at work, and this is this is what I look like all the time - with my head in my hands.
So I know from wearing my son's smelly scarf that this is 100 percent effective in stopping me touching my face.
I don't need a face mask I need a head mask.
I need one of those cones that dogs wear - you know when they've been to the vets?
So I wanted to do this obviously as lazily as possible, and I found this video.
It's of the United States Surgeon-General, showing you how to make it.
All you need is a t-shirt and two rubber bands.
And here are all my t-shirts!
Yeah I know what you're thinking, but you know we did Marie Kondo.
We did it a few years ago so that's why it's so neat... but we did a few years ago which is why there is so many!
And this is a very sad day.
Two of these guys are going to get the chop.
Quite literally.
But which two?!
I have three t-shirts that are in constant rotation.
They're not in here right now because they're - I'm either wearing it, or it's on the floor, or they've just come out the wash.
This one survives. Doesn't even go into the drawer.
So does this one, and so does this one.
Usually I don't like writing on my t-shirts.
I don't like people reading my chest.
Messy Darth Vader - keep!
Happy computer emoticon thing - keep!
Tour de France thing? I've got mark on it? I'll keep!
This is my oldest t-shirt.
This is an antique "I need TP for my bunghole!"
I can't cut this up!
But the thought of having Beavis on my face is very appealing.
That might go into the maybe pile, even though it's my oldest t-shirt.
Los Pollos Hermanos... from Breaking Bad.
I haven't worn this for about six months, but I don't think I can cut it up - keep!
Martial arts t-shirt - keep!
More writing... usually I prefer pictures - keep that one. That's definitely got a mark on it.
Now this is a strange one. This is from... it's from my infant school, when they had a big reunion could-- because they're demolishing the school.
I'll put a link to the video up top and in the description, it's Hawley Infants
I think this might be going to the maybe pile - I haven't worn it for a year.
I've worn it on a couple of videos.
T-shirt with a collar, fancy. That's for my formal wear.
See the t-shirt is the uniform for my midlife crisis
or midriff crisis
Keep.
I can't tell you what it is I'm using to choose which t-shirts to cut up.
I think it's the the konmari method - the Marie Kondo method of holding it.
Feeling if it sparks joy. This sparks joy. Keep.
I love this one because my long-suffering wife hates it - because it's got so many holes!
It's more holes... than t-shirt. Rodent food.
I love it - keep!
Now I like this one because it makes me look like Stefon from Saturday Night Live.
Okay I won't do the impression... "Well..."
I'm good, I've just been up for three days.
Hey maybe I should have a shot of me wearing it...
[STEFON'S VOICE] "I'm good I've just been up for three days."
Another martial arts t-shirt - keep!
Another martial arts t-shirt - keep!
Another martial arts t-shirt - keep!
I'm not sure about this. I got this from, from Disneyland, so I like the memories from it.
I'm not the slimmest guy in the world, but I like my t-shirts tight.
This is a little generous. It's just, it's just really wide. This is definitely going into the maybe pile.
I've not worn it for two years - it used to have a really good design. A row of cartoon gnomes - sort of vintage look - and a line underneath: "Rolling with my Gnomies".
It has gone, so all that there is left is t-shirt.
It feels like cheating, but I think this is definite, definite maybe.
Cameralabs! Check out the cameralabs channel at the top. Gordon Laing, see i bought your merch! I couldn't cut this up, although it'd be extra advertising for your channel.
[SINGS] "All I want is a perfect camera..." oh no, it's the wrong channel.
We've got three of these - I used to go jogging in them. It's the Late Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. For me the best Late Late Show, sorry to all the other hosts.
And it had the best merch, so I bought a second one, and then I bought a third one.
Definite keep.
I might start jogging again one day.
Which leaves this - it does not spark joy anymore, it just leaves me cold. Quite literally.
I suppose I could make a mask with the graphic.
I can't wear it with the words because it'd just say "OLD."
"OLD WHAT?!"
I do like the faded blue - definite maybe.
You know the real problem about putting videos on YouTube is that sometimes you feel like you, you, you might be sharing too much, that I think I just shared.
So this is the final shortlist.
The deadly five.
Look I've got paint on it!
So that's, oh that's keep!
It's that way.
I've had-- I don't think I could wear that on my face.
That'll be keep, but not for any good reason.
I don't want a white mask, cause I know what state it's gonna look like.
There's no way I'm gonna keep this white, so it's in the keep.
So that leaves "Rolling with my Gnomies" and this.
I did it!
So these are the ones, let's hack them up!
Hey I don't know if you're in lockdown as well by the way, but I've not put my wallet in my pocket for about two months. It's brilliant!
So these are the two t-shirts that are going to get it.
The first method we're gonna try is from the US Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams.
Here's how you can make your own face covering in a few easy steps, with items you can find around the house.
Oh my goodness - the state of me! Up against that.
Or you can make a face covering out of an old t-shirt.
Fold it to the middle from the bottom.
Fold it to the middle from the top.
Fold it again to the middle from the bottom.
Look at his folding.
Look at mine.
Now the great thing with this method is that it doesn't need any sewing.
All you need is 2 elastic bands, which I've got.
The great thing about being British is that obviously we have elastic bands on the pavements scattered around the country, but I've not picked these up from the pavement.
I've picked them up from my kitchen drawer.
It's brilliant - there's no sewing, but the problem I had is that if you do it just with the whole t-shirt it sort of looks like this, which is okay? It sort of works, but I wanted to go for something a bit smaller.
I feel bad enough for being in Lidl at all, let alone being in Lidl looking like this!
So what I'm going to do is cut it up, which they don't tell you to do on the video.
Bye bye t-shirt, thank you for your service.
So sad.
On the upside, I've now got a little crop top!
So I'm gonna follow the instructions, this way - so put it sideways.
Here's how you can make your own face covering in a few easy steps, with items you can find around the house - like an old scarf, a bandana, or a hand towel.
Or you can make a face covering out of an old t-shirt!
Fold it to the middle from the bottom.
Fold it to the middle from the top.
Fold it again to the middle from the bottom, and again from the top.
And then two rubber bands.
One on one side and one on the other side.
Then you fold either side to the middle and you have yourself cloth face covering.
It's that easy.
I like that! It still feels a bit pudding-gy. It just feels a bit large.
I don't know how to lose the bulk - the story of my life.
Think I need to find a way, so it's not quite as bulky.
Maybe I should cut the t-shirt in half again? Let's try that.
Then cut THAT half, in half again.
That's the one!
I can't tell if it's dangling down.
The only downside with it, is now that I've worn it for 30 seconds, my ears aren't coping very well with the elastic bands.
Maybe if I, if I double up the elastic bands, oh look at that.
That's, that's gonna annoy me.
Okay so went and got the two extra elastic bands, and I might make it a bit wider as well.
So it's not so far to go, for my ears.
That feels just right!
So those are the dimensions - it sort of looks like this: about 25cm by 25cm.
That for me is the perfect length, and if it's too small for you, then you've got plenty of t-shirt left to try again!
You know it's much better with the two rubber bands as well.
So all that's left to do now is to try it out in an actual supermarket!
Here I am, this is me in Lidl.
So this is like literally the only place on earth where I can get this thing right now.
It works out really well but I just I'm not used to wearing the face mask out in public.
It feels like you are making yourself "the other".
Especially if you're around people who aren't wearing face masks.
If you're not that's absolutely fine!
I just don't want to smell you, that's all!
And also I don't want to touch my face!
But you think if I was that worried about not getting it, that maybe I'd put off buying papadums and pitta bread, and some potting compost!
The other-- right so the other thing as well, it feels really rude wearing the mask, and I just want to like pull it down say "hello!"
Anyway I hope this this video has helped if you want to make a DIY face mask without doing any sewing whatsoever.
And if you want to express your awesomeness by hitting the thumbs up button I'd really appreciate that, or say hello in the comments below.
And if you made a face mask - have you copied this yourself?
If you have let me know how you get on.
Let me know how you get on with the face mask situation because I'm still not feeling entirely comfortable with it, and good luck on your face covered shopping.
Can you please help my daddy get 10,000 subscribers just click on his face, thanks bye!
Alright, this is gonna be the proper one, right?
This is without doubt, hands down, my favourite head shaver: the Remington Stylist Hair Trimmer. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
You can buy one here from Amazon US https://amzn.to/2RgYqdK
Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/2tjWsBq
I've been looking for this for a long time -- it was my first head shaver back in 2003 and really pleased to be reunited with the new version of it. It looks the same sturdy build but has a more robust UK power charger.
The unboxing starts around 4:00, and I also show some of my other failed Grade 1 head shaver purchases.
TRANSCRIPT:
But here's the unit - THIS is what you've been waiting for
I'll probably put this clip right at the start of the video to reassure you that you will actually get to see this - it's the Remington stylist hair clipper
aha ah this is it!
This is this is the one that I lost - the one that got broken after ten years of use
Hello, I'm Neil, welcome back to the happy hut today I'm unboxing this
I dunno if you can see it - it's the Remington stylist hair clipper
Bit of a minimalist model title there which I like
Now there is no way I should be making this video at all, because I have bought over the years probably a double-digit number of hair clippers or trimmers or hair, head shavers...
whatever you want to call them
I do not need another one in my life
I'm not exactly a perfectionist
I just want the perfect head shaver!
I just want the perfect hair trimmers - just something that will give me a really good Grade 1 - you see I'm stroking something that's not even there!
I just want something that is cordless.
I want something that will give me the exact grade one that I want
Sometimes like this one - I thought this was gonna be the perfect head shaver
it's a Wahl... or is it a Wahl Colour Pro trimmer
I made a whole video about this thinking that this was gonna be the one
It's a really beautiful unit - as you can see - there's a link if you click on the "i" at the top or in the description below
It... I mean it looks great but look at this comb!
This comb is so thick - and this is the smallest comb - and I know what you're saying
I know what you're saying "why don't you just go Grade Zero, you've got no hair there!"
Why do you even want a little hint of it?
I don't know why, I'm clinging to my 3mm of hair that's there - I just don't think it's that big and ask
The reason I went for this the Remington is because when I first shaved my head - shaved my hair off completely - I did it with a Remington
And that... I don't know what the model number was but I used it for about ten years and it was fantastic!
The comb was just right - you only need one comb in here - you don't need the--
yeah this comes with 8 combs they all do!
I thought I'd come close with this Remington because it had an adjustable comb
But that plastic thing is so thick that the blades just don't get anywhere close to where I needed it to get to
So I'm hoping this is the one
If this is the one I've already given this in the description of this video - I'll call it the best head shaver for Grade 1 - and so if you can see that in the description you already know that I love this and I will change that description the moment that this fails me
But let's, let's open the box and see what you get inside
Here is a collection of some of the things I've bought
That was the Babylis for men
I even shot an unboxing for that - and as you can see I was really giddy with excitement because it has two combs - two shavers either side
These combs just didn't get anywhere near to a Grade 1 that I wanted
I looked like a hairy hippie
So here is the Remington stylist hair clipper - I've been saving it - look, look how you probably can't see but I am really shaggy at the moment because I've been waiting to unbox this on camera to help some other Baldy out there who wants a grade 1 and who hasn't found the right hair clipper - so this could be the one
Sure I'll give you a quick look at the box - there's a charging indicator - it can go cordless
That's one of the things that I've been looking for
I don't need to go in the shower with it
it says advanced ceramic I've no idea what that means
there's a free detailer inside - I don't - I don't need that - I just need - I wanna be like you!
But with a grade one haircut
I want that - that's the grade - the one that's on his Jimmy Hill chin!
that's what I want on my head
easy to store
I need my glasses on - not only is my hair failing me, but my eyes are too
I'm a wreck! why are you even watching this video!
What kind of advice can I give to you?!
but if you could live vicariously through my purchases, good on you!
So it says it's easy to store
well yeah anything is easy to store when you just throw it under the bed... between charges
up to 40 minutes usage time
well that's good because I never let it grow that long but 40 minutes would be helpful
it says it comes with eight combs for different hair lengths
grade one to eight - that's the one I want the 3mm - that's all I want from you Remington
and self oiling blades
Oh my goodness that is a relief because I've accumulated so many bottles of oil for all my other failed purchases
maintenance-free performance for life - for life
you can't take these back!
If this isn't good for you - if this isn't right for you - and I think this might be why you're watching this video you can't pass these on!
nobody wants a used hair clipper!
it's bad for the environment
my hair has its own carbon footprint and I want it to end on this shaver
I do want it to end on this shaver
this could be the one
Let's open it like a man
Oh there's a tab here
there's a nice box that will go under the bed, never to be used again
To store all the bits that I'll never use again.
Now if like me you don't really want to destroy the environment this would probably make your heart sink
Oh my goodness, look at all the wrapping
Oh Greta Thunberg... and, worse... I have to turn the heating up to heat this up
this is, this can't be good - this can't be how we used to live pre-industrialization
here are all the combs
Oh man, these combs look good - these combs look good
I know I get excited about every single trimmer that I apply but this is the one
3mm - that's my grade 1, and this is exactly like the comb that I loved and lost
oh this could be it - this could be it - and it comes with a natty bag - oh no this is this is a cape
You could be a bald superhero
But here's the unit - this is what you've been waiting for
I'll probably put this clip right at the start of the video to reassure you that you will actually get to see this
it's the Remington stylist hair clipper
hahaha shall we rip into it?
Ooop, that's probably an important thing
hygiene seal - only remove if you intend to keep the product
"Remington I'm in!"
ah this is it - this is - ahhh, this is the one that I lost... that got broken after ten years of use
Model HC 366
what I'm gonna do, I'll put a link in the description probably near the top because I need the money - but every one of these that is sold - Amazon would give me some - a little bit of money - at no extra cost to you If you use the link below
Shall I switch it on?
there we go - my goodness this is the one
so I'll show you what else you get
now this always makes me giggle because obviously we - we need to to make those who are not of a grade 1 length feel good about themselves
we've got some hair clips some scissors - I wish I could use that - maybe for some hair elsewhere my nose or ears? that would be good
and a comb.
Do you remember using those? they were good weren't they
[GLASS SMASH]
And it comes obviously with a charger
Ready, so you just plug it in and it's lighting up to show you its charged
Now I haven't read the instructions - you're probably supposed to charge it before you use it - I'm not going to make you wait - I'm going to do this right now
So get my favorite comb - ah, where is it
See, so you get some weird taper combs for your ear holes
There that's the one
I like on... is it makeup tips they, they put the hand behind it to show you
that's the Grade 1 - the precious Grade one
none of these I'll ever use again - apart from terrorizing the boy to shave his head once every six months
There we go - just clips on like that
there's a taper lever which makes it go longer or shorter
and then you turn it on just by pushing the switch on the side here
Oh dare I - dare I do this?
Here, give you a shave - go on.
Put your head close to the screen, go on, I'll give you... look...
that's what it's like being your hair every day
completely unappreciated
but I'm gonna do it now - you ready?
Ah this is the one I think this is the one!
Take glasses off - oh boy this is the stuff - this is the one, this is the one that I'd lost
so happy - look how much just came off - don't know if you can see that
Can I tap? maybe tap?
there you go
it's a messy business isn't it, having no hair
I've got some really big stuff at the back
now what I love about this - and why I bought it - let's turn it off - why I bought it
there's a perfect combination here
the comb doesn't scratch your head - it allows the blades to get super close but still allow 3mm - the crucial 3mm that us Grade 1-er's love
this is the perfect combination
right that - the comb's too thick
that says that's a Grade 1 - it isn't - it isn't - you just end up looking like a, a hairball
this? I mean frankly it-- and I know having this look gives the impression of me being perhaps more rugged or tough or even thuggish
but that's no good - that comb - it - I mean it just hurts - it's just like rubbing your head up against a plastic grater - rubbish
this this is the one
the remington model HC366 - it's the remington stylist hair clipper - once you've charged it up you can unplug and go rogue with it
did you see there's a big difference - I don't think the battery liked that - listen to the difference
yeah that's the speed it should be at
What are your best shaver experiences?
What brands do you like?
help me - advise the community
are there brands that have helped you to stay a good grade 1
leave a comment below
I'd love to hear your experiences with these hair clippers
my son's going to get me now
I'm gonna-- shall I give him a shave?
I'll show ya
come in look what I got!
I'm gonna shave you!
NO!
So look I hope this video and I hope these links below help
I just want to help the community of grade 1 hair clipper owners
I don't anyone to be buying - look at this mess - I don't want anyone to be buying this junk
because they're not cheap either - well they are cheap but that's the problem
once you accumulate a number of them that doesn't work - it really starts to add up
So I hope this video has helped
if you've reached this point in the video why not let me know that somebody reached this far, with a thumbs up they'll be really appreciated
Oh subscribe - you never have to watch any of my videos ever again but I'm trying to hit 1000 subscribers
if you can hit the subscribe button - you don't have to - just mute me you don't have to watch any any more of this nonsense
but it will really help me get some money off youtube for every 1000people that watch my videos
We invented a brand new sport for all Tightwad Dads out there: FOOT BOTTLE.

All you need is a council playground pitch, and some litter. And you're good to go!

Let's see how this goes...
Hello I'm Neil, and usually I'm the Tightwad Dad, trying to be happy with what we've already got -- those words on the screen.
The Great Shutdown of 2020... and oh by the way look at our lovely town statue.
Everyone's getting into the mood
So here's how you can buy postage online at home for yourself.
Hello I'm Neil welcome to the Happy Hut - thanks for clicking on this video
I'm like you I hate going to the post office even when there isn't an international emergency going on
We're in the middle of The Great Shutdown of 2020
I could not think of a better excuse to not go and use one of those self-service machines at the post office - and I thought there has to be a better way of living
And also at the moment this has given me a chance to try things that I've never done before
So today's thing that I've never done before is "buy postage online"
I've got the internet ready and come see my screen...
There's no internet.
Okay so I've finally got the internet back on - thanks kids - and it's, it's the evening now so I thought I'd come in here and this is the website that you need
Now I'll put the link to this website in the description you might be watching this in 2021 or 2022 even
I'll change the link in the description if it changes, but that's the link that I'm using and they've got this walkthrough system with you - so the first thing you need to know is where you're sending your parcel
That's the United Kingdom I know that, that's good
Now the next thing you need to know is the weight, so this is a shot of me right now weighing the package on our kitchen scales
They want it in either grams or kilograms as you can see there
We're lucky enough to have the scales and it's it's 480 so I can type that into the website
480
And it's grams so I'm going to click on the grams, not the kilograms - that will change the price quite a lot
And then we'll click on "Send an item now"
Now we put in a few more details about the item - we have to put in the size of a package
Let me get the package here - by the way I think this is probably my favorite part of buying postage online: you don't have to answer that stupid question that you do in the post office
You know when they ask you "what's in your package?"
What I want to say is "It's a small packet of none of your business" but that's not very-- that's not very nice
So I usually end up going "Oh, it's my embarrassing package"
But this is actually embarrassing - I've cleared out the loft and gonna send some stuff back to my sister
It's a Top Of The Pops magazine from 2001 and some photos of her
By the way the photos... just cover this up
What were my parents thinking?!
What-- that was that was a fancy dress costume on holiday
Not only do I appear like that on holiday but we've captured it on film?
What's, what's in the package there sir?
Oh it's just a photo of me... with a... as Adam - with fig leaves - that we've just found on the holiday complex?
Oh you should see what the complex looks like now
Absolute wreck.
Like me!
This is the package of embarrassment that I want to send and buy the postage for
So it wants the shape of your item.
If you put in a very low number of grams you can actually just buy a stamp for a letter
Yeah if I put in here, say it's, I don't know, 20 grams, you can see you've got you've got the option of a letter
So you can just buy a stamp for a letter using this system - so it works for big parcels and small letters
And you can see it's offering me a Large Letter - it's definitely not a large letter.
Basically click on the box that is the size of your package and mine looks like the small parcel - from £2.95.
Click continue.
It takes you to another section now which is what service would you like it?
How would you like it delivered?
And the options here are second-class. first-class, signed for second-class, you can see the prices going up here
Signed For First Class... to arrive in one to two business days
Tracked 24 - the next day delivery signed for...
I'm a tightwad dad and I'm not made of money so I'm gonna go for second class - plus I don't think anyone's in any rush to be seeing this stuff
I think the longer it's in the hands of the Royal Mail the better
We click on 'continue' which takes you to the next section - which is where is your package going?
Now you can type in a postcode and look for the address with this pull down menu - now I don't want this package falling into the wrong hands, so let's send it to... let's look up a postcode SW1A 2AA
Oh how about that? How... will it send it to number 10 Downing Street as my example address
This is gonna cause a visit from, er... some kind of authority...
So this is just the demonstration.
But as you can see if you type it in the postcode it offers you addresses for that postcode
So you choose the right address and it fills in the boxes for you, or you can fill those in manually yourself - and then we'll click continue
Here you just type in your address and then you can also enter your address manually... and then there's an option on this page: "Check this box if you do not want your sender details to appear on the label."
There's an option where you can have like a return to sender address put on the label but given it's got all of your details anyway I don't know why you wouldn't want to do that... but anyway that option is there for you
So this is the next page where you can now complete your purchase and actually pay for the postage.
I've blanked out the address it's going to and the address is going from, but you can see that it's telling me - confirming me - it's a small parcel, Royal Mail second class postage - and you can see there's an option here to edit any of those details or delete it if you've got it wrong and start again... and then you can complete your purchase.
So it says once you've completed your purchase your items will be need to be posted within 7 days
So you put in your email address - don't write those words obviously - write your email - your actual email address - and then finally you just need to take a couple of boxes
First I confirm I have entered the correct weight for the items being sent and I'm not sending any item which is prohibited or restricted in the UK
I don't know. Some of those photos?
But I'll tick it anyway
I'm sure you would have read the terms and conditions right?
Now it gives you two options at the moment: it's pay with PayPal or pay with debit or credit card
Let's go with pay with debit or credit card - but also here you can see there's a nice handy infographic to show you how to buy postage online
Once we've paid for it, we're going to print a label and stick that label onto the package - so we click with "pay with debit or credit card" and this is really straightforward
All you do is type in your card number, the card holders name and the expiry date, and the security code
So I've clicked on "Make payment"
It's now saying my payment is being processed - always a worrying time - so there we go!
It says "Thank you for your purchase. Your purchase postage."
And it's confirmed the addresses and the payments
Now you can get your postage to print out from two places here - you can either click on "view your documents" and there is the postage label ready to print out
Or next to the details it says "view label" so if I click on "view label" there it is
And if you view your label you will have an option there you can download it onto your computer, or you can just hit print, straight from there
I like to save it on my computer because I'm of an age where I want to hold on to stuff!
So let's send it to the printer straight away and here it comes out to the printer
And here's the label fresh off the printer
It's huge! Look at it! It's massive! So the next thing you'll need is a bit of crafting
I can never find glue
I always get it, and then the kids nick it
So you stick it to the package - there!
That's good to go!
You have now successfully bought a stamp online
Leave a comment down below if you have any questions
I'm sure someone will be able to help you, even just to say hi
If you reach this point in the video thank you for watching
I really hope this this helps you to do it
I've not done this before so I'm quite excited
This is me recording the worst piece to camera ever, showing me posting the actual item!
"And that's how you can buy your postage online too!"
Well that was a different envelope... so anyway if you have reached this point in the video thanks for watching
Why not hit the thumbs up button if this video has helped
If you're feeling even kinder why not hit the subscribe button down below - that helps me to keep this going
We're trying to get this to about 10,000 subscribers. I don't think that will ever happen but if you do hit subscribe I really appreciate it
Good luck on your avoiding the post office, avoiding using those self-service machines ever again. You and me. We can stay out of this, and do this at home. Thanks for watching!

Action Movie legend Jean Claude Van Damme meets British actor comedian Richard Blackwood in a British comedy interview TV show I produced in 2001.
Mr. Van Damme was very kind, funny, good-natured and very generous with his time.
He showed us round the factory making his Dammage7 brand jeans, in a time before everybody had merch.
At 3:35, see how I effortlessly bring the entire shot to a halt, when Mr. Jean-Claude Van Damme asks The King Of Jeans to make me a coffee to wake me up.
This is why I am a Series Producer. "Coffee for the man, he's sweating a bit!"
Found in my loft on VHS - it will never be shown again - This is raw Van Damme!
Transcript:

And now he's going to be a famous guy in America, and he's also a singer, he's an actor, and he has a TV show... and we're going to show him the process of how to make jeans for the Dammage7 jeans, but also this lady she's the king of jeans - she's working for all the big, big brand in Los Angeles, and I'm sure you're gonna beep me, but like Lucky brand, Guess, Gap, all those people.
There are a lot of beeps happening there but Dammage 7 is what we're interested in.
She's doing a great job for us.
They have a nice high-end line, and that's what's happening to denim.
All the big, high-end lines they wanna make it nice, they wanna make it good, make it something.
I hear that, I hear that.
So where is his brand, where's his Dammage7 stuff, where's that?
There's some samples in here but we keep it under lock and key until it's in the stores so nobody else sees it...
I understand.
So we're getting an exclusive right now.
You want to see- You want to see we have a new--
(OFF CAMERA) Demonstrate how they are made.

Official
Official, exactly, better English.
Yeah. Of course.
Hey! Hey!
Don't forget the subtitles, Producer (I haven't thank you Mr. Jean-Claude Van Damme)
Come here Producer!
Every time I make a mistake in English, you have to put subtitles.
Subtitle!
And that means 24 hours a day for me.
Yeah.
All subtitles.
Because he's French. [Sorry, he's not, Richard.]
I mean I understand what he's saying, but just for the rest of the audience.
Okay?
Yeah.
Okay.
You always like that?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, good.
You like a coca cola, a Pepsi cola to wake up?
A coffee?
That'd be lovely, yeah.
You wanna coffee?
Can we have some coffee?
Coffee for the man, he's sweating a bit!
He's very tired, he's working on stuff.
Have you got any Pepsi, or anything like that for me?
I'll have a Pepsi.
[JEAN-CLAUDE TO ME:] You know what, I'm gonna put your head in the machine.
Let's put him on the stone wash machine!
Do you know what, you're actually taller than I thought you would be.
Excuse me?
You're taller than I thought you would be.
Oh yeah?
A lot of people said you're short, but you're quite tall. What are you 5'8"?
5' er... 5'9".
5'9" yeah you're very tall!
I love your shoes man.
Yeah well I got these for free. At Dada's. Dada. But I like yours, those are Prada, right?

Show them how they use the jeans.
This is El Patron, Jorge.
I'm Jorge.

It's kind of cool because people they're gonna see like... what they call a "movie star" like a normal guy right?
Yeah, that's what they want!
You too, you're a normal guy. And we're here in the factory with very normal people and they can see how they make jeans... plus the movie... and all the--
It's another side to Jean-Claude. The other side.
Hey Jorge [SPEAKS SPANISH] Like we're sparring! [SHOTOKAN NOISES]
See he's good! He's got the moves!
I reckon I could take him. But I ain't gonna try, know what I mean.
So they put the pants-- Camera! Camera! Camera! Hold on...
Camera - here.
[OFF CAMERA:] We've got a tape change!
We'll just do a tape change real quick.
One minute, one minute.

Look at the way he's gonna wash that. Not wash, he's gonna, he's gonna do the--
Oh the fade thing.
The sand blast. Sand blast the jeans. By hand.
So, every one's done by hand?
Yes, all of them. But it goes so fast, they're so good.
You getting this, this is exclusive stuff!
It's a trained hand here, this guy is special.
They're non-stop, and they're very good - they're the best.
(OFF CAMERA:) And you!
This is my, by the way that's Arri, Arri Arrous, who's my jean designer.
Oh okay.
He's the head of my company. Dammage 7. He's been in the jean business for the last 22 years. He's sacrificed all his life for jeans. But now finally he's going to work for his own brand called Dammage 7. He's the best.
So... I feel like I can know you now, can I get some free samples?!
Yes. We're going to make a special jean for him.
That's what I'm saying.

[SPEAKS FRENCH] When you open, it's the thick button and the small one because the other car's the small one, it's vice versa.
[RICHARD: He's making him move the car, move the Bentley, he's gonna let him move the Bentley, because my Bentley you can't ever get near it.]
You want to ask me some questions?
Yeah well the thing is-- oh, right-- But I want to know about, so what made you go into fashion?
Huh?
What made you go into fashion?

[LAUGHTER]
What made you take that route?

[OFF CAMERA:] Can we just stop you for 2 seconds, I just need to put a radio mic (microphone) on...
Yeah they need to put a mic on you.
