Is a jerry can the ultimate tool for "gentle prepping" or just a massive mess?
I try to level up my family's resilience by using a 20L metal jerry can for the very first time. After a frustrating experience (thanks South East Water), I am focusing on storing backup water and fuel to get us ready for any minor infrastructure issues.

I walk you through the "idiot proof" classic jerry can design and show the exact moment where it goes wrong.

The reality of using a Jerry Can...

TRANSCRIPT: (CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE)

THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!

It turns out I really didn't want to make this video. I bought this jerry can over a year ago. I've got it wrapped up for a reason. And this is the first time Oh, I thought there was a nozzle. This is the first time that I've bought and used a jerry can in my life. It feels like I've uh levelled up somehow. But I didn't want to make this video because it just feels so negative. It It doesn't feel good. And to me, it actually feels like you're actually inviting badness into your world. But anyway, I got it now and it's full of fuel. And I really want to walk you through uh what it's like buying and using this for the first time. I originally got this for water. It was to to just have some backup water storage. I've been in a situation where we've had our water cut off. Uh well, it wasn't cut off. It was actually turned disgusting by it turns out South East Water, our water supplier, it was coming out of the taps like this. And when I contacted South East Water, their reply was, "Oh, it's mild discoloration." And it wasn't.

Thanks, guys. Guess we just keep on paying for it then. It turns out, so I called the council, you know, the the the public health guy, and I said, "Look, I've got this problem with my water. this this isn't right, is it? And he said, "No, it's not." And I said, "Well, you know, can we get it tested independently?" And he said, "Well, no, because the water companies do the independent testing."

Do you want to go in the brown water? Yeah. Do you want to go in the brown water? Yeah. So, the water company, South East Water, in this case, would be judging whether or not it water was safe to drink and use or mild discoloration. So, it's been in the back of my mind for a few years, and I I think I really love this as an object, this jerry can. If you don't know about jerry cans, let me give you a quick tour. They're actually a thing of beauty where they're designed to be rigid but light. And they have this carry handle on the top, so two people could carry this or pass them along a row of people. They're stackable. And the lid here, if you pull out this pin, and this turns out, this is really crucial. I didn't appreciate how crucial it was until I was at the petrol station. And you'll see the aftermath of me not appreciating this, but it the pin comes out and it stays it stays attached, which is brilliant. And then when you open the the top, wa there's a bit of pressurization there. You can lift it off, but you don't lose the lid. and it has a pouring spout. And this jerry can comes with an even bigger pouring spout and another spout on top of that to help uh get it into your vehicle. And this spout latches on as well. It also has a rubber kind of grommets. Is that what you call it? Some kind of uh widget in there so that it will stay sealed up. And the same with this lid as well. It's got a protective rubber seal on so that when you do lock it, I know how to do this now because it went horribly wrong at the petrol station. I will show you. And that locks into place. And then I can push the pin in. And this is the bit I found really difficult when I had a big queue of traffic behind me because it it doesn't line up. So I need to line that up first and then that should all lock into place. See, even that that doesn't feel right now. I won't give it a shake. Should I give it a shake? But this is basically what won the Second World War. And it's called a jerry can because the Germans invented it. And uh we just stole the design, which I guess was another win for the Allies. It absolutely stinks. So I got it for some water storage, but it just didn't spark joy. The idea of putting water into this. It absolutely stank of a jerry can factory. And I... I think I probably could have cleaned it with boiling water or filling it with sterilizing fluid or something, but I still just didn't it just didn't feel right to use this for drinking water. So, I got these other bottles here. And by the way, I've got both of these items, the jerry can and the water bottles. I'll put links to them in the description, but I've got this water this pathetic water supply stored under the sofa just in case we need water in an emergency. though. I... I've got five of these plastic bottles and it's not nearly enough. That would that would last us about 20 minutes, I think. But it does feel good that we've got at least some kind of fluid resilience, some resilience for our drinking water. But if you're like me and you want to do just some kind of mild preparation so that you've got some little bit of fall back if something goes wrong in the world for a few days. I think that was the thinking behind it. The other trouble with with prepping, apart from feeling like you're inviting a problem to come to you, is that it's really expensive as well. It's not cheap. Buying all of these these items and then storing them somewhere. I wanted to start with this because just having uh a bit of fuel or access to a bit of fuel might be sensible in the unlikely event that we can't get some fuel or that we're caught short at any time. Then I decided to use this for fuel. And that's where my problems began. And you'll see it on this video now. I think I didn't want to be one of those idiots filling up with fuel at a petrol station at the time where it feels slightly heightened at the moment. And that is the exact time that I decided to to make this video. Uh, at time of recording, the world's oil supplies aren't in the they're not in the greatest place right now, but I really wanted to make this video. And also, I did want to get get some fuel. So, we went to Costco where the price of fuel is is really good. We're members. So, I pay enough per year for that. I might as well uh get the benefits of it. I got my son to to video this just to demonstrate filling up a jerry can for the very first time with fuel. This can is 20L and I'm saving about 20p per litre. This isn't why I did it, but it did mean that I'm actually saving about 4 quid by using uh using the jerry can. And then when it was full up, I thought, well, that's that's great. So, what I need to do now is seal it up properly. And I got a bit flustered because I've got you can't see it, but I've got this massive queue of traffic behind me, waiting to panic by at the petrol station. So, I'm trying to fill it up. I'm tearing the glove, my natty glove, to shreds on the pin, and I couldn't get this pin in. This pin was an absolute whatsit to get in. Um, even now I it it doesn't work. And I I think the problem is you have to you have to run it really dead straight, but when you close the lid, you can't actually run the pin straight. You have to sort of lift the lid up a bit so the pin locks and then you can latch the lid of the jerry can into place. I thought I'd done that. Uh but I hadn't. I was panicking. So I thought the lid's on. I'll get it into the back of the car. And I didn't I didn't check it. And I didn't think that you were able to close the lid with the pin not in place. Turns out you can. And you can actually see the moment where I load it into the car. Uh you can see this big splash there. It goes all over my moma... my moma oat milk is now covered in diesel. And I don't know why, but I know something bad's happened. Let's see an action replay. Uh I don't think you can see there's an actual moment where it splashes all over the car and all over my oat milk. Uh, let's do it again. Go even closer. Splash. There you go. I... I thought the whole point of a jerry can was that it locked and it didn't allow the fuel or the liquid to leak. This this idiot proof design that got us through the Second World War was too difficult even for me at the petrol station. My granddad literally fought in this war where these jerry cans did their thing. And I can't even cope with a bit of mild disapproval in the queues at Costco. So my son stopped the camera at this point. Just at the end of that video clip, you can hear someone from the next queue. So it wasn't someone behind me. She shouted at me quite helpfully. I think she just wanted me to know that the lid isn't on properly. And I said, "Isn't it?" And she said, "No, no, I... I definitely saw fuel coming out of it." And looking at the video, that's what she saw. So again, I was flustered because I just wanted I didn't want to hold up the line any more than I had to. So I thought, well, I'll just check. I couldn't see anything wrong with it. It looked like the lid was on. So I gave it a big shake. Big mistake. The diesel went all over me, the floor, the back of the car. And in this video clip, you can see me mopping up the aftermath. You can see it. Nice big splash on the floor that I've paid for. Lovely. Um, and I'm just I'm still trying to get this blooming lid locked and latched and I just can't do it. It's the pin. It's really great that you've got this inbuilt safety device, but for me it just absolutely flummox me. And the more I'm panicking, the more uh the longer it's taking. I think I've got it into place now and now I've got to deal with this diesel in the back of my car. I'm mopping it up with the the tissues that they kindly provide. I ended up tearing off the cardboard from the boxes because they were they were so soden with premium diesel. Um, and I've also got it all down the can as well. Uh, so I give that a wipe. And I think I've just about got it uh cleaned up. But my first time use with the jerry can was a lot harder than I thought it would be, even though it's designed to be the most simple liquid storage device ever, ever designed. So, here it is in place with the with the pin locked in. And I'm just having to clean it up just that little bit more. I could still see uh diesel glinting around. I thought I'd get into trouble. I think my biggest fear was the traffic getting angry at me, which maybe it did, but I was too busy trying to get this fixed. Or I thought that the people running the petrol station would tell me off. But I think it's okay. I think you're okay filling up these kind of metal containers. So, we went on to IKEA. Even though the boot was full of uh diesel and bits from Costco. So, I... I did think ahead though because I did future proof myself. I did know that there might be a small spillage or liquid on the outside. So, I did bring a bin liner with me. Funny enough, a Costco bin liner. So, I've got it all neatly wrapped up in the car, which sort of brought down the smell a bit, which was helpful. That bag sort of kept things under control, but I don't think it was leaking after that. And this is it. This is my very first I wasn't panic. I was panic buying, but I was only panicked because I was making a big pig's ear, not because we're especially in a uh emergency situation. Although it was difficult, it does feel really good that I've got 20 litres worth of fuel if we need it. Now the lid is on properly and secured that it is properly secure. We store it in the garage and this is where the negative stuff comes in because our nearest hospital is a 25 minute drive from here. And you know how it is sometimes you need assistance or you need to get somewhere but it isn't quite a situation where you'd have to call the emergency services. just having the ability to know that we've got a backup plan if we do run low at any time. The other thing we're doing at the moment is also we're making sure that we don't go under half a tank in the car. I mean, I've got ADHD brain, so I forget these things anyway. So, just making sure that we've got the the car full at all times. It is... it is a bit of a reassurance. There is a school of thought which is that you get what you devote your mind to. So if you focus on the thing that you don't want, more often than not, you will actually make that happen. You know, it's a bit like a motorcyclist turning a bend. If you concentrate on the lamp post, you're going to hit the lamp post. If you concentrate into the bend, which is where you want to go, then you'll take the turn safely. And I think I need to just hide this, keep it out of my eyeline, and know that it's there if it's if it's needed. But I don't like this this focus. So, I'm going to just try and take this in the spirit that I've got a bit of backup if I forget to fill the car up and I've got a bit of water if South East Water acts like classic South East Water. So, what do you think? Have you got anything like this in your home? Have you made any kind of backup plan? Or is there anything that you think you should be getting ready for? Or should we just look at the fact that we do have clean water? We've got electricity. We've got unlimited access to entertainment. We've got a family that loves us. We're in a country or an area that is generally really safe. We've got things pretty good. I'm calling this a Dad Delivers success. Do Viral Hotel Door Locks Actually Work? (Door Security Test on chains Premier Inn and Travelodge)

BUY metal hotel room door jammer HERE! (Amazon commissions earned, thanks!)
BUY plastic hotel room door jammer HERE!

You've seen the viral safety videos... but do those portable security products actually work on a real hotel door? I test two different hotel door locks/jammers on a chunky Premier Inn door. I demonstrate the correct way to install the tough metal door lock that provides a successful, jammed seal, and reveal why the other popular plastic portable lock is a complete fail for hotel rooms! I also test the famous towel trick for securing the handle. Which travel security lock is worth buying on Amazon for your next stay in chains like Travelodge or Premier Inn?

You can tell all the other people on this floor who've seen the same warning videos that I've seen. So, I'm going to put a do not disturb sign on the door. I've been busy on Amazon and I bought a couple of things to secure my hotel room. So, the first thing I've got is this hotel door lock and you jam this in the the hole that the [music] lock mechanism goes in and then you jam it up with this. I'm going to try this one first. I've already had a go and it's it's really difficult. So, I'll just let me bring you closer and I'll just show you how to do this on a Premier Inn door. The idea with this portable door lock or hotel door jammer is that you put that bit into the door frame. And it's tricky because look at this door mechanism. It's really chunky. It kind of fills the bit where I'm supposed to put the jammer. And also, there isn't that much room on the frame. I'm going to line it up with here like this. But there's [music] all of that is filled up with lock business. The way I'm going to line it up is to use the bottom of this catch. There's a [music] gap between that catch and that catch that's just wide enough for this. So I'm just going to line it up like that. But then I've got to get it into the door frame like that. So it is possible. It's tricky, but it but it is possible. [music] So it did take a bit of uh jiggling to work that out. It's almost as if that gap is the exact right gap as well. So, I think this has been designed with hotel door mechanisms in mind. There's this catch that goes into this catch here. And then I'm going to put this metal rod into this hole and lock it at the bottom here. So, I'll just slide it in the big area and push it down. And now that's it. [music] That is jammed. If you try to even kick the door, that jam is going to hold. So now I am [music] completely locked into the room. The other advice you're supposed to take is also to put on a do not disturb. So that the other advice I've been given from all the YouTube videos is to put a do not disturb sign on the door. So I've I've failed. I I need to unlock it all to do that. Let's take this one off so that I could try this. This is a Life Venture portable door lock. It's another hotel door jammer. But the difference with this is that it is plastic. It's made of nylon. And there's even like a stretchy instead of a chain that's difficult to clip, there's a nice stretchy kind of bungee [music] thing that that keeps the two parts together. So, if I take off this door lock and completely insecure my room, go. So, take that one off, throw it on the floor. With this one, I think it's much more simple. All I've got to do is find somewhere to jam that in the door frame. Now, obviously, my biggest [music] fear is that this will actually stop the lock happening, but let's let's give it a try.

Now, the problem with this one is that it's actually stopped the door from locking. So, this this one is completely useless. That does not work at all. And there's no way for it to work because the full hole in the door is filled with door lock. So, you can't actually put this catch in anywhere. This would be more useful for a planer door. I don't think [music] this is any use for a hotel room door. Oh, no. I thought I thought I'd lock myself [music] in there for a moment. It is necessary because you can see in the past, [music] maybe it's just a a scheduled refit, but I think that has seen some action in the past. God knows what's happened in this room. There is, of [music] course, this lock as well, but I'm assuming there's a master key that can open that. That's all part [music] of the mechanism. So, we've got to stop someone being able to just override that while I'm in here to the bathroom for the final tip. Well, first tip is this didn't really work. So, but worth taking because it's cheap and light. I'm going to try the tip with the towel. And the tip with the towel is really simple. It's just to roll it up and to jam [music] it under the the door handle like this. And this is to stop someone putting a wire underneath [music] the door and reaching up and pulling the door handle down from the inside. Now, if I had the portable travel door lock put in, that [music] would stop the door from from opening, but having someone reach in and pull that handle down is [music] absolutely terrifying. So, I love the idea of putting the towel in the door handle. Also, putting a belt or another towel. I won't do it now, but jamming that up as well will stop the door from opening in the night. Of course, all of that gets in the way of an evacuation if there's a fire. So, what are you supposed to do? What are you supposed to do? By the way, if you are interested in either of those products, I've got a link down in the description. Well, I've got a few links down in the description and you can see how much they cost wherever you are on Amazon. Amazon. Amazon. And thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the subscribe button. It really, really does help me to keep this channel going. So, I really [music] appreciate it. Thank you. And right here is what YouTube knows you want to be watching next.

Ride along with me in real-time on a cold, wet December morning as I cycle from Waterloo Station to Barbican. I’m testing out the DJI Nano Camera in challenging low-light conditions and the DJI Mic Mini microphone for wind noise. I avoid the busy IMAX roundabout, opting for the quieter route past the National Theatre, over Blackfriars Bridge, through Ludgate Circus, and into the historic Smithfield Market during the busy Christmas meat trade. I also share some personal moments on my cycle safety in London after a major accident 15 years ago. Whether you're interested in the route, the camera and microphone, or the sunrise views, join me for this sedate morning commute.

REAL-TIME London bike ride: Waterloo to Barbican DJI OSMO NANO sample footage!

THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!

Good morning. We are at sunrise here at uh not so sunny Waterloo. It's uh it's about a week before Christmas. So, it's a cold December morning. Actually, it's quite mild, but uh it has been raining. So, the roads are looking pretty slippery this morning. That could make the ride really interesting. I'm going to head from Waterloo to Barbican in real time. and uh you can ride along with me. Here is my ride this morning. It's the 63283 electric bike. It's got fully charged. If I give it a kick, we're fully charged. Uh nice wet seat, so I'll be drying that as I go. And hopefully I've not done this since August, so hopefully we can do this without incidents. Undock the bike.

That's a good start. I've got a new mount for my DJI Nano.

Yeah, it's funny being on the Santander bikes at this time of year because it was the 12th of December uh 15 years ago that I managed to have a terrible crash on one of these. So terrible that I have no idea what happened. Literally, it's blanked for my for my brain. Uh, all I know is I woke up uh looking at a hospital ceiling. So, uh I think somewhere in my brain I've got I've got an urge to be very careful. And we've got some wet iron work on the road as well. So, we going to be careful on those. So, this could be quite a sedate ride. Now, I've got a choice. I can either I don't know. I can either go to down to upper ground, which is safer but longer, or I can fight it down Stamford Street. I think I'm going to go down upper ground cuz it's uh uh nice and secluded. Here we go.

They finished the building work here now as well, which is cool. Couldn't ride down here before.

It's down to concert hall approach and turn right onto upper ground. Check for traffic. Hooray.

Yes. So, this has seen a lot of building work recently, but that seems to have shut down for Christmas, which is nice. Um, if I were in a rush, I'd have gone over the dreaded Waterloo roundabout round the IMAX and down Stamford Street. Uh, which is much quicker. I do that when I've got a tight time uh pressure, but I've left lots of time for this morning, so that's good. Just past the National Theatre.

And this is I think my first bike ride on using the DJI Nano camera. So, I might put this on my uh on my camera channel or yeah, my YouTube channel about YouTube or I might put this out on both the travel channel and my and my how to make YouTube videos channel. Uh so, if you're watching on the Neil Mossey channel, hello. Uh this is what the DJI Nano looks like. And oh, sad site on the left hand side. I won't move the camera. Um, they've demolished LWT.

Got a car behind me. I want to let him go.

These wet um wet tiles are not fun to ride on.

My god. Got big puddles as well. So, it's good it's not raining, but everything is a bit slippery. Whoa. Got some love holes on the uh on the roads.

You can go.

Now, this is a weird cycle path cuz it looks like you're going the wrong way, but it's actually marked out on the road as I'm riding into head-on traffic on a oneway street. Ah, so we go around the BMW here.

Uh but the cycle lane is really faded. So uh

that's not good for the cars.

So, we'll turn left. This is where the Okay, this where the cycle lane meets the pavement. We got a nice join here. Level join onto the

cycle lane.

See if I can lift the camera off. Give you a better view. We said check it's still recording. Yeah, we're recording.

So, we're going over the rivers.

Got uh St. Paul's and Blackfriars over there. City of London lit up. All the city workers there already

trying to make that wealth divide bigger. Keep reaching for the skies, boys. Okay, back to

here. Now, I'm going to stop here. I get I take umbrage as there's no one to hear me saying this at the moment, but it really annoys me watching bikes go through this light cuz there are pedestrians and it's pedestrian crossing. Uh, let's see how many go through. There's number one forest point.

There's another one.

Okay.

It annoys me because when I had the accident, we didn't have any of this infrastructure at all. And now we've got it. People just ignore it. It's a shame.

On to I think this is called New Bridge Street.

Got slippery iron work here. So I've got to pull out, but I've got people overtaking me.

Coming up to Ludgate Circus and Farringdon. I can never remember if it's Farringdon Street or Farringdon Road. I think it's Farringdon Road.

See if we can make the green light. Ah, okay. I'll give you a view of Ludgate Circus and uh Fleet Street.

I don't understand. I'll tell you in a minute.

Heat. Heat.

Seems I'm not here.

Heat.

Heat.

Yeah, what I was going to say was I was going too fast to stop that poor guy on the zebra crossing. What? I don't understand the mentality of going through the red lights when pedestrians are crossing. That's really not good. But I'm not here to judge. I'm just here to get to my destination safely. Oh, by the way, I'm using the DJI Mic Mini this morning. Again, first time uh on a bike, so be interesting to see if you can hear any of this. I've got it really quite close to my mouth on my shirt, but I've got to do a right turn here. People overtaking.

Shucks.

This the uh London Museum being built in the old Smithfield Market. Keep hearing different titles where it's Museum of London. Museum for London. And over there it's called the London Museum. London Museum would be a lot more sense.

So we're going to go through Smithfield and weave our way through uh to get to the Barbican or just Aldersgate street.

Can't believe I'm here before sunset. I suppose uh these are the shortest stays at the moment. Got three more days of this.

I guess he couldn't wait.

It's not just because I'm wearing a camera that I'm reading carefully. Is because of my really bad accident.

Got them. I wonder if I can show you've got um Holborn Viaduct on the right there. It just went under that. Oh, here we go.

Look at this. Free parking. What's that about?

Oh, okay. So, there's free parking for Smithfield customers trying to help Smithfield out while they're demolishing. Yep. Wow.

All right.

Slow down.

check both ways. Wow. So, usually when I come in, it's not nearly this busy, but they're still loading up meat. And this is Christmas meat. The uh this is the it's stitching in there, mate. This is the most important meat of the year coming through. This is confusing. Got a stop line here with the lights over there.

Pull to the left pass.

Okay,

that's sensible.

Okay, and then the final street. So, we've gone around Smithfield into I can't see the road name. Oh, here we go. Charterhouse Street.

So, what do you think of the camera footage? It is it coping with the dark lighting conditions? It's not light, but uh the sun's not up yet. Be interesting to watch this back and see see the footage. Oh, I'll let him go. Always

good with a fan driving head on. There we go. Now I'm going to cross over. I love this docking station. Give him a nod. I love this docking station. It's always got a bike free. It's one of the most underrated bike docking stations in London, I think. So, I'm just going to cross over. Probably going to walk across now.

There we go.

There we go. We're docked. Let's take the camera off. It looks like we're still rolling.

So, thank you for coming on this ride with me. That was a nice short uneventful one. Always good. Um, and this is weird. I only came up with the idea of having the uh running this on two channels while I was riding. So, if you're watching this on my Neil Mossey channel, uh these are the transport videos that I have over on my other uh channel, Neil's Travel, Trains and Stops. And um if you're watching on the travel channel, this is where I try out new cameras. But uh if uh if you've reached this point in the video, thank you for hitting the thumbs up or hit the microphone or the subscribe button. I'm going to get a coffee over here now. And right here on screen is what YouTube knows you want to be watching next. Made it.

Heat. Heat.

Fancy a cheap Central London Hotel..? Premier Inn Euston REVIEW

I check into the Premier Inn Euston Road to give it the full luxury vlogger style review (inspired by Hannah Ricketts ) to see if the £189 top-floor corner room is worth it. After trying to check in to the completely wrong hotel. Once I find the right brutalist concrete location, I give a full Premier Inn Euston room tour, including the amazing view, the clean bathroom (with surprise body wash), and an unexpected dust test. I also cover the lack of air conditioning, the price, the noise levels, and whether the £12.99 unlimited breakfast is a must-buy.

I'm in London's lovely King's Cross. Or is it St. Pancras? Actually, it's neither. It's further up. It's up there up Euston Road. I am checking into the Premier Inn Euston, and it's a... it's a building that I've walked past, driven past about four decades, and I'm finally having a look inside to see what it's like to stay in the Premier Inn, Euston. I'm a bit worried because obviously I grew up around here. So I know how rough this area is even now. Um so to go to a hotel that's taken quite a battering I... I'd imagine in my head is going to be quite a thrill. Also I'm a huge fan of Hannah Ricketts who makes all these wonderful videos about five-star hotels. I think she has stayed in the St. Pancras Hotel and uh she said that she might be doing one there, but my Premier Inn is in the concrete block that's two blocks along. Let's see if I can film myself checking in and not get run over. I paid £189 for this room. I ordered... I ordered it. I booked it uh about 3 weeks ago. Premier Inn have these three tiers of booking. So, you either pay extra, about £50 extra to be able to cancel right up to the 1:00 p.m. on the same day. Another tier where I think you can amend your booking. And then this last tier, which is you got to you got to use it. And if you don't use it, you can change the the date up until 1:00 p.m. But thankfully, my trip is still on. So, let's see if I can film myself checking in. So, this is me checking into the Premier Inn what I think is the Premier Inn Euston. And it's a little impersonal, but there's a stack of key cards for the room and four terminals. And I just need to scan in the QR code to then program one of these key cards for my room. But it won't scan my QR code. But that's okay. I can just type in my booking reference number. Except... Except I can't I can't type it in because I am in completely the wrong hotel. I'll try to explain it to camera now, but the sound on this clip isn't very good. So, I have come to completely the wrong hotel. That's maybe the hub. Do you know what though? There were about four people behind me in that self-check-in queue that had also come to the wrong hotel. So, we got to go further up Euston Road to the other Premier Inn the one that's actually closer to Euston station. And it's only one block up the road. I think that last one was a Premier Inn hub, but this this is the Premier Inn Euston Road Hotel that we want. It's almost opposite Euston station. It's a easy mistake to make, but the exterior of this hotel is a little more 1960s Soviet brutalist concrete, less wackaging and funky neon signs. But there was a much better welcome here from the staff. Just behind the camera is a really nice hotel worker guiding me through the self check-in. I... I thought the service from the staff I met was really friendly and welcoming, which you absolutely need in this monstrosity of a building. Really lovely smiles and welcomes. It was very much appreciated. The self check-in machine spat out a receipt saying I was in room 111 and I couldn't face being on the first floor, so I very gently asked if there was anything higher in the hotel. He kindly manually issued me a new key card for room 547 which is on the corner of the top floor. Completely brilliant service. Thank you. Welcome to my room. Now, curse of the travel vlogger is that you have to film the room as quickly as possible before you trash it. So, this is how it looks as I as I walk in. You can get the full uh arrival effect here.

And this is the view. And this is the these are the rooftops of Euston. Uh this is much better than I thought it would be. I think Euston Road is running down that way. And these are the back streets around uh Euston. I do not expect to get a view with a... with a Premier Inn anywhere, but I'm... I'm pretty happy with this. This is pretty good. Hey, does this... this window doesn't open, does it? Oh my goodness. The window opens. Fresh air. Oh my goodness. You don't get opening windows with a five-star hotel. Look at me. I'm just happy at the smallest things. Let's open up the the other window. Oh my goodness. This is phenomenal. How fantastic that there's fresh air, though. The only downer, and I'm sure they would fix it instantly if I if I asked, but there's the... that light bulb's out. So, it is a bit... it's a bit dark in here rather than uh mood lighting. So, I've I've turned all the lights on. This isn't like a Hannah Ricketts five-star hotel, is it? And I've got that pointing at my face so you can see me. It is very dark in here, but that's okay. And I'm sure if I phone down, uh they're very, very helpful. Lovely greeting at reception. Uh unlike the other place which I think might be more of a hub and it's a lot busier, but uh here I couldn't really film the check-in because I was being guided through the screens by a very... very helpful uh member of staff and is a... is a little tricky. You have to check in with your booking and then you get your key card. There's like a stack of key cards and you you basically charge your your key card. you tap it against the like the... the contactless reader and it... it programs the... the number for you and then you get a print out saying which room number you're in. I don't know why, but I got room 111 and I just thought I don't want to be on the first floor. I don't I wonder if and I just asked is there any chance and very kindly they've put me up here the very top floor corner room on the top floor. Ah, this is this is the life at this price point. This is the life. Let's do a tour of the room. I'll give you a 360 of the room. I've put my wide-angled lens on to get as much uh in as possible. It is... It's snug. It's not tiny. It's just the right size. You know, someone had worked out an algorithm for what is the exact number of cm we can uh squeeze in here. And it's it's got this kind of I'd say 60s chic to it with the with the brown and the ceiling tiles. Not a fan of ceiling tiles, but you know, it... it's okay. It's a very um How can I show you? I'm 5' 10 and I can comfortably touch the entrance ceiling in the the hallway, the lobby, and oh, I could just about stretch to touch the ceiling tiles at the top. So, it's it's literally they've made a box that is human size. Let's go in the bathroom. Now, I have no idea how Hannah Ricketts makes her videos last 31 minutes and makes them really entertaining. So, I... I will try and give you the full... the full tour. So, we've got a sign here. Please keep this door closed when in use as steam can set off the fire alarms. So, we have like a a lino floor. The hotel room, the sleeping area is carpet. It's... It seems on first glance very clean. Also, I just got to say, sorry, know I should be doing a bathroom tour, but usually the furniture is beaten up, but it is absolutely pristine. Again, in the five-star hotels, you have some really sort of battered furniture cuz my expectations were very low. There's three coat hooks by the door and the a tea making area with a bin and a sign saying please don't use the bin if you have to... if you don't have to. Anyway, back to the bathroom. Hello. Here I am. No ceiling tiles in here thankfully. Just a single light and uh a fan. Very clean shower curtain. Look at that. We've got a towel, a bath mat. Oh no, that's the bath mat. That's a little towel. I'm going to stick that behind the door handle after all those warning videos that I've seen online about protecting yourself in a hotel room. How to secure a hotel room. I thought I'd need that here cuz we're in central London and we are I mean it's it's I grew up around here. As I said, it is crime central out there. So, I'm hoping that the door security will be is pretty good. They seem really diligent on saying hi to everyone coming in... in a very friendly way. Here we have a shower. I know some of you are like my wife are shower experts. This is a Hansgroer. It's a hands grower, not a shower. And look, it's got a rainfall, what do you call it? Shower head. Words are failing me. Should I turn it? I've got to turn that on to give you the the full effect. All you need to do is set the tap running and then pull this button. Hope it doesn't hit the camera. Up. Away it goes. That is a nice shower. It's good pressure, nice temperature. Absolutely lovely. And we have some Baylis & Harding uh shower gel which is full and it's white tea and neroli. Very nice cuz oh my goodness when I was in Manchester at Premier Inn, you know those dispensers like you have in public toilets to dispense the the shower gel. So having a little bottle holder there is really nice touch I think. Let's take a look at the toilet. And that is clean and very utilitarian seat. Can you imagine the absolute pounding? Oh, it's more uh white tea and neroli. This is luxury hand wash. And over here, this is luxury hair and body wash. So, you have the two... two Baylis & Harding bottles. Really nice touch there cuz you I was just expecting one of those public restroom style dispensers and the... the tap. Really nice. Super duper clean as well. I... I just could not be more happy with how this is working out. But can you imagine the absolute pounding, the absolute hammering this room must get? Or maybe it doesn't. Maybe it's used by travelers who are just here for a couple of hours before they get there on the Eurostar just over at St Pancras. Maybe it's very one and done and maybe it has very light use because just travellers using this location do not want to stay here very long. If you are thinking of staying here for an extended stay or for this to be your base in London, this is absolutely phenomenal location it is so well connected. You can get to anywhere from anywhere from here. You can get to anywhere from here. Pretty much all tube lines. You can walk into the West End. It's a really nice 10, 15 minute walk and you have the three station terminae. You've also got Marylebone up the road. So for £189 with the nervousness that if I had to cancel I'd lose that. But it seemed like a good gamble. Let me show you the hallway. Another thing that Hannah Ricketts does on her channel is to show you where the room is in relation to the fire escapes and the other rooms. And there isn't there isn't a plan. Maybe it's... maybe it's in the hallway. But so now all my horror videos that I've been watching on YouTube are kicking in where one of the pieces of advice is to check out your emergency escape route. Can I make it out the window? I don't think I can. No, this is quite high up. Oh, better lock the the window there. And it doesn't have one of those things where you make the electricity happen with your room key. I thought it was, but it is actually a defunct air conditioning control. I got one email every day for about 3 weeks telling me that there is no air conditioning in this hotel. I don't know if it's broken or if there just isn't one and they're just reminding you a lot. I got the impression from the emails that it was uh more of a... a maintenance thing. It is really warm in here. It's October, so I'm very grateful for the warmth. I'm just going to check that the heating isn't on. Right. So, we've got heating... cooling. So, I'm going to switch it to cooling even though there's nothing happening there. I don't know if you can see this if it's showing up on the camera, but it's 21° in here, which is toasty. Now, my wife and family would love this. This is the absolutely perfect temperature for them. It's 3° too hot for me. I came completely buyer aware because of these warning emails just saying... just repeating over and over again. I'd imagine they'd have a lot of complaints. I can't imagine how warm this would be in the heat of the summer, especially on the top floor as well. So, just bear that in mind that at time of recording, there is no air con. Let me show you the desk area. So, having an... I didn't even notice this, but having an electric fan is probably a sign that there hasn't been air con here for a long time. I can feel I... so I've switched that to cooling. I can absolutely feel a lovely breeze coming in. Oh, that's nice. Oh my goodness. That's good. So, it's not air conditioning, but there is some kind of central fan here. Should I see if this works? Don't think it does. No, it's just all kinds of flashing. What if I press the chilly button? There are three speeds. So, I've got it up to the third speed. Oo, I just felt that. So, these ceiling tiles do something. There's something about ceiling tiles though that... Oh, I don't know. It just What's up there? What is up there? What have previous guests put up there? So, the ceiling tiles are a little bit ick, but I'm sure that everything is completely safe. So, I've been in here probably an hour now, and it's getting it's getting really warm in here. It's still saying 21°, though, so maybe it's just a psychological thing. I really want to show you the bed. The bed was super clean, presented in a really lovely way. Give you a nice swoop around the bed. Underneath seems really clean. There's nothing under there. All the nooks and crannies seem really super clean. Oh, I know what we haven't done. We haven't done the the dust test. Let's do the dust test. This is Hannah Ricketts copying that TV programme that does it. So, here we go.

No, it's clean. It's absolutely clean. The... the shelves I can already see are clean. Let's try on top of the bed. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And there are five-star hotels. I can point out the window. There are 5 star hotels over there with dust and this doesn't have one. Clean. Do you know what? It's probably... It's probably people doing the dust test that are dusting all of these rooms. The only stain I found is just over there. It's just a little bit of brick dust. Probably from where whatever was done to that electrical thing. A little bit of brick dust, but every everywhere else is completely stain free. It's a really... my tripod again. It's really, really clean carpet. It feels really clean in here. And this, look, no dust on the fan. Hey, we're over by the table. The lighting conditions in here are very challenging. So, uh, thank you for going along with the moodiness of the the lighting of the room. So, we have some promotional literature here. Shall we find out how much stuff costs? Uh, so we got a drinks menu. Let's see how much a... a can of Coke costs. The menus are clean, which is which is nice. Got some cocktails. 2 for £14 every day 5 till 7. Midnight woo woo, classic mojito. What do you fancy? A bottle of Coke is £3.85. Red Bull is £4.35. Why you would want a Red Bull in a hotel, I do not know. I would have thought that might counteract the blackout curtains over there. Spirits £7.70. And I guess these are in the the bar downstairs. I don't know. Oh, hot drinks. Latte £3.20. Come on, that's cheaper than A Costa. And they owned by the same brand, I think. So, anyway, drinks menu and then food menu. Right. So, breakfast. I might give this a try. The unlimited cooked breakfast. £12.99. Come on. What's not to like? eggs, hash browns, bacon back rashers, pork sausages, bon bon bon bon bons, vegan sausage, baked beans, black pudding, grilled tomato, mushrooms. So, unlimited cooked and continental breakfast, and unlimited drinks, £12.99. Yeah, I... I think I've got to do it. There's some foreshadowing. And the other option is an unlimited continental £10.99. So that's unlimited continental breakfast and unlimited drinks. Amazing. So this is the continental breakfast. My hand is shaking with absolute desire for all of these things. And you've got hot drinks and cold drinks, apple juice, cranberry, orange. There's more. There's the TV. I haven't even turned the TV on. The remote control is obscenely clean. Who knows what has touched that, but I'm... I'm not feeling squeamish. I will sanitize my hands afterwards, but it does look and feel very clean. Should we turn the TV on? A nice welcoming splash page there. Premier Inn. Okay, let's turn this down because there's something about BBC1 daytime shows. They really clobber you with copyright strikes. These are all the channels. They're all free view channels. All the regular channels you'd get off an aerial. And it's got the ones that they're on Freeview, but you can't see them. And it also has all of the radio stations as well, which is really handy. So, you've got a radio in your room. Let's go to the kettle station. And very clean. Oh, just up above here. So, a dust test. No dust at all. Amazing. Kettle station. Check in here. So, it's a... a Russell Hobbs kettle. And it doesn't look like it's been used cuz it's still got the the sticker that you get when it's brand new. Let's open it up. You just pull the lid off. Absolutely spotless inside. Two glasses. Now, my wife says, "Do not use glasses in hotel rooms because they... the temptation to use the towel to clean them." I'm sure they don't. I'm sure these are steam cleaned and absolutely sterile, but I don't touch hotel room glasses. Oh, this is nice. It's an acrylic box presentation. That's very stylish. You get two PG Tips tea bags, collective noun of milks, and we get some sugar and sweet and low in there if you want a cup of tea in your room in the nice glasses there. And underneath the kettle station, we have a holster that holds a hair dryer that looks like it's been Yeah. screwed to the wall. And it is a purple one. Wow, that looks funky. I think that is a... a... obviously that's an on brand Premier Inn hair dryer and something obviously that is a... a big... I really look for in a hotel room. Morning. Uh so I made it back in one piece. Uh it was very loud event that I went to. So I uh uh I'm... I'm... my speaking is not quite as good as it usually is. This is the view from the window this morning. Uh, early morning, North London, looking out to the east. I had a great night's sleep. The bed, the mattress is perfect. The duvet was not up to... like is it... It was good. It was... It... It was good and great. Usually I'd really associate this with Premier Inn, you know, the sort of the corridor door going clunk clunk in the night, but didn't have any of that. In terms of noise for me, it was it was silent. Had a really good quiet night. So, uh, very happy. I'm... I'm just going to have one more look out the window cuz I'm absolutely a gog. I can actually have fresh air in my hotel room. That is just Oh, so good. I can breathe sweet, sweet NW1 air from this window. Got some stickers there saying don't jump. I have to stand this side round because it's the only place in the room where I get any light. And I'm looking out onto that lovely that lovely vista of a really nice bit of Camden. If this video... is this video helpful, is this the kind of thing? Is this what you wanted from a Premier Inn room tour? Leave me a comment down below and say hi if you've made it to this point in the video. And thank you for... Oh, there's my phone. And thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the subscribe button. It really, really does help me to keep this channel going. So, I really appreciate it. Thank you. And right here is what YouTube knows you want to be watching next.

How long does it take the DJI Osmo Nano camera to overheat when filming at 4K 50p (50 frames per second). I run the camera on a 1 hour bus journey to see if I can film the entire length of London's route 139 bus with the DJI Nano - will the overheating problem stop the camera, or will the battery run out first. If you want to know how long the Osmo Nano battery lasts or how long before it overheats, this test could be for you. Plus loads of 4K sample footage on Rocksteady stabilization.
PS I finally worked out that I lost audio on the Nano because I taped over the logo!
The internal mic is (deliberately?!) next to the DJI logo...

Hello. This seems to be something challenging a lot of people and that is how long does a battery last on one of these DJI Osmo Nano and there are quite a few videos out at the moment complaining that it shuts down because of overheating or that the battery doesn't last very long. I'm going to take this little camera on a big journey through London. Right, this is Waterloo. Now, the trouble for me with all the complaints online is that I... for me... this is an action camera. So, it just seems slightly odd to me as a vlogger why you would want to put a action camera on 50 frames or 60 frames per second at 4K and run it for 2 hours. For me, I'd just use this in quick bursts, probably 10 minutes at the most. Oh, it's all kicking off here. Or the task that I'm going to try and set myself today, which is to start a bus journey from over here, the 139, one of my favorite bus routes in London, and see how far North I can get. Can I get this camera all the way to Golders Green on 4K 50 frames per second? I don't think it's going to make West Hampstead. Now, I'm going to be measuring the battery level and and also let you know if it conks out through overheating along the way. I can't believe it. I've just missed the bus I've been waiting for for 15 minutes. Okay, so we'll get the next one. But it's okay because the next one's in 4 minutes. I can't believe I missed that. And it gives me a chance to admire these two new Bakerloop buses. That was originally the bus I was going to get today, but I... I'm from Camden. I don't feel safe south of the river, so I'm... I'm going to head north for this test. And to get on the bus, I'm wearing the DJI Osmo Nano. I won't be wearing the screen. I'm just using that to top up the battery to make sure I'm at 100%. And I've taped over the DJI logo just to make it a bit less ostentatious.
[Music]
[Music]
So, I've put the camera at the front of the bus. It's running now. And I've got the multivision dock here.
[Music]
Now, there is all sorts wrong with this test because so much can affect it. So, the first thing is I don't have the screen attached. Uh, I don't know if that makes it warmer to have it charging up while it goes or whether this dissipates the energy. Also, I've left the protective case on the DJI Nano. I think the protective case dissipates the heat. I did think of taking it off cuz I thought that would keep it cooler. It might act as some kind of jacket, but I think the case cools it down. The battery at the moment... we are coming up to 10 minutes in. So 10 minutes in, we are at 80%. That's a really easy figure there. So 10 minutes. 80%. Um I'm still charging up the the screen. I know it's cheating slightly, but I want this to be 100% when it starts charging. It's not burning. It's just slightly warm after 10 minutes. So we're at 80%. Let's see if we can keep going. Um, I think I'll put the vision dock on when we hit something like 20%. So that it can charge it up and get a full charge. So this is more about I think the overheating than the charging, but I'll let you know how the charging the battery goes as we go.
[Music]
Here's what happens next. The camera, I mean, look at it. It worked beautifully uh running away at 4K 50 frames per second for about 38 minutes and I... I've just put on screen that how the battery level drops... it seemed pretty uniform all the way and then when it hits around 17% on the camera battery I thought I better fit the multi-functional vision dock. So, I attached the screen and it... that seemed to cause a big problem. The... the battery was going down very quickly after after about 20%. As soon as I attached the vision dock, obviously that's a charger and that seemed to add heat and it suddenly said that the camera had stopped charging because it was overheating, but it was still recording. And then quite soon after that, within a minute, it just stopped recording altogether. So, I got 38 minutes at 4K 50 frames per second. I think that's incredible. By the way, I bought this with my own money. I'm not sponsored by DJI. I'm uh probably a little bit of a fanboy judging by how many DJI products I have, but I've got no skin in this game. I think running a camera, any camera for 38 minutes at 4K 50 is incredible. So then I decided to take the camera off the vision dock and try to cool it down. I cooled it down in my hands. So I... I took it out of the protective case and I was just... it was... it was hot. It was very hot. Uh, so I took it out the case and I was literally cooling the camera down with my hands only for about a minute and it seemed to work again. What seems clear to me is that the protective case that DJI very kindly give to us, I think it's there to stop our hands burning, I don't think it's there to dissipate heat, and it seemed to really cool down much more quickly with the cover off. But obviously, it's heating up to a point where you can burn yourself. So, I was okay with that cuz I wanted... I really wanted the shot. I really wanted the bus to get to Golders Green Station. So, then I ran it again. I can see from the footage, you're seeing it as a time lapse, but it actually ran in real time for 10 minutes 45 seconds where it it powered off again overheating. What was interesting was that the overheating happened before the battery depletion. So, if you're wondering what's going to come first, overheating or running out of battery, it's definitely going to overheat at 4K 50 frames per second. So, I... I think maybe I shouldn't have been trying to charge it up quite as much as I did, but it did really need to seem the charge cuz it it seemed to stay at 11% from here on in. And then it went for another 12 minutes 39 seconds and it overheated. And unfortunately overheated in I think one of my favorite places of London, West Hampstead. Absolutely loved this. I really wanted to capture it and that was when it... it... it failed. And then I ran it again, this time for another 6 minutes 40 seconds. Between each overheat, I'd cradle it in my hands to just try and cool it down, blow on it, blow on my hands, put it on again, and it ran for 5 minutes 54 seconds. I actually stopped it myself cuz we were stopped at traffic lights. That wasn't an overheat, but then another 2 minutes it did overheat again. So, I got about 7 minutes on the next burst.
[Music]
But guess what?
I managed to get to Golders Green with the DJI Osmo Nano from Waterloo at 4K and 50 frames per second. I hope some of these figures uh are useful to you. But what I have learned from this is that if I wanted to run it for a long time, I would definitely take off the protective cover. You know, this plastic protective cover that comes with the DJI Nano. I think it's there to stop you burning yourself. Also, having the camera disconnected from the vision dock so that is it isn't charging. I think that keeps it cooler. I think having the multifunctional vision dock heats it up and maybe you need to do that to... to charge the battery up, but the more it was disconnected, I think the better the battery life and definitely it stopped it heating quite so quickly. For me, it's... it's not that bad. I think it's really good. I don't think I can ever see myself in a scenario where I want to run the camera for an hour at 4K 50 frames per second. But obviously your case needs may vary. It did cool down quite quickly to get another burst. And when it started again, it would go for about 7 minutes each time. When I see videos on YouTube complaining of the overheating, they seem to just leave the camera static in a room and uh just run it for however long. And that's that's very useful. It's great benchmarking, but it isn't real vlogging. So to to all of you out there, if you are creating a channel where you need 50 frames per second, maybe you're a runner, or maybe you are a transport nerd like me, uh I can completely understand. uh your frustration at not being able to go over 40 minutes, but I just won't use it that way. And I hope that some of the figures of the the battery going down and of the timings for the overheating, I hope they help gauge whether or not you want to have this camera. And if you have reached this point of the video, thank you so much for hitting the thumbs up or the subscribe button. It really means a lot to me. It helps me keep this channel going and helps me to keep you making more videos for YouTube. And right here are all my other DJI Osmo Nano videos.

This is supernight. I don't know if you can see any difference. And I'll turn around. Uh, so you get different lighting effects on my face. Whoa. And actually, I'm standing under a standing under a lamp post that is automatically coming on uh and off. That doesn't help my SuperNight test. I've filmed some more shots in Supernight of trains arriving at the station. Trains arriving and leaving. Uh just to give you an idea of what Super night looks like with movement.

This is super night mode.
This train has 10 carriages.

[Music] And that looked quite well lit. Even though it's it's nighttime, it's well, it's dark turning to nighttime uh with lamp lights. Uh that that seem to that seem to look okay, right?

You know, don't think I've said this, but I really miss being able to zoom in on the Pocket 3. You can just kind of punch in and get a bit closer. I really, that's the only thing I miss with this camera, the DJI Nano, is the inability to cut close. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut close in the edit on Super Night, so you can see if it's any good.

"The next train to leave platform one is the 1930 service to London." [Music]
Here's a comparison between the DJI Pocket 3 uh with no Super Night on and the DJI Osmo Nano with Super night on. We got lots of weird uh lighting going on cuz the lights are automatic. When the train came in, it tripped up all of the the um street lights, the lamps.

So this is the DJI Nano on super night mode and the DJI Pocket 3 just uh with no Super Night on [Music] [Train Noise] [Music] I forgot to say this thing is magnetic. So come over here. Look, watch this. I can just stick it to a post like that and you can get a groovy shot. So you can walk away and just walk past it. You know there's vlogging shots. I'll do one of those walking walk past vlogging shots.

[Music] Nice. Brilliant. Can you please help my dad get to 1 million subscribers? Just click on his face. Thanks. Bye. Can we have dinner now?

I test the camera on the streets and beach of Brighton across all the main settings:
Stabilization Off (Ultra Wide, Wide, and Standard)
RockSteady stabilization (Ultra Wide, Wide, and Standard)
Horizon Balancing (The one setting that keeps your horizon level, even when your hand or body is wobbling!)
Then some walking shots on Rocksteady with different fields of view (FOV).
See how the Nano handles a moving landscape and check out the built-in internal microphone.

This is with stabilization turned off. I'll show you the different settings with this view of the pier here at Brighton. So, this is stabilization off ultra wide
and this is stabilization... stabilization off and wide.
stabilization off and standard dewarp.
This is with rock steady stabilization now. And this is ultra wide. Rocksteady.
Rocksteady wide. So we've just punched in a little bit there. This is just wide on the rock steady setting.
It looks like there's a storm coming in, doesn't it? But this is rocksteady and standard (dewarp).

Finally, horizon balancing. And the only field of view you can have with horizonbalancing, I didn't realize this, is the standard dewarp. So, this is the only uh the field of view for horizon balancing. Now, if I turn it on myself, uh it means that I can wobble my hand to my heart's content and it should keep that horizon uh level behind me. Oh, have I got something on the lens? That might have been that might have been completely pointless if I've got I've got latte on my lens. Uh but anyway, you get the gist. It's just to give you an idea of how the the different modes look with a... a landscape. I'm going to go over here now. Yeah. And going on about this measly just from a song, but everyone say that. Oh, I've not seen that. In English. Yeah. On Wednesday. Yeah. She said okay everyone turn to page 6...7 of the Christmas Carol and everyone went 6! 7! And she was like "what?!"

Oh yeah, that is rust. I remember you'd scare me cuz in the IKEA carpark Yeah. there would be um rust splattered on the walls. Oh yeah. I would ask while on your shoulders. Yeah. And I'd ask you Is this um um is this blood? Yes. And keep bouncing me in the gaps to scare me. Oh yeah, I remember that. Yeah, it's ketchup. I think something like that. Someone exploded a sachet.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I remember walking home a couple of years ago from school. Yeah. You know the alleyway that's by the infant school? Yeah. Someone had like literally just got see if you saw the after. It was It was actually It definitely wasn't an accident. It was like a whole bottle of ketchup squirted on the wall. Yeah. I feel really bad for whoever lived there and the next day it was washed up, I think. Yeah. Yeah, it's quite sad.

We're going to go flavor and scent. Sorry, I need to say this is rocksteady ultra wide. Yeah. I I know flavor and scent, but it came out of FL. Are they making every flavor and scent for vapes now? Yeah, I guess you can have any flavor you want. What? Like cookie dough? Yeah. Cookie dough vape with a brown vape. Yeah.
Is it?
So, I told you, didn't I, that um Nanny would always take us to Brighton and she'd always want to get to the station. There'll be like the train in a few minutes. You'll be running up this hill. That's where you... massive stitch. Yeah.
Yeah.
Rocksteady standard dewarp.
again.

So, this is RockSteady standard Dewarp with uh internal microphone on the camera. I've got the just holding it in front of me. Uh not even stretched out. How big is my face?

*And DJI Pocket 3 camera:*
*CHROMLIVES CAMERA HANDLE HAND GRIP*

I take this rugged, wearable camera to Brighton (the "epicenter of YouTube") to give it a full-works, real-world test. I'm not a camera reviewer, so I skip the specs and just show you the footage.
My vlogging involves:
Running to catch a train (Stabilization test!)
Wearing it chest-mounted for walking footage
Testing Hyperlapse and timelapse
Filming indoors in shopping centres, coffee shop, subway and trains
Checking the Supernight mode against the DJI Pocket 3 camera
And finally, I dunk the DJI Nano in the sea to test the waterproofing.
I also share the 2 vlogger-friendly features I love most: the detachable screen (multi-functional vision dock) and its seamless connection to the DJI Mic 2 wireless microphone.
Everything here originally shot 1080p 25fps.

Best for vlogging? DJI OSMO NANO camera in action... SAMPLE FOOTAGE

THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
the DJI Osmo Nano camera. I know you've been watching loads of videos on YouTube just to try and work out if this thing is right for you, but can you actually use this thing for actual vlogging? It's all very well saying, you know, giving specs and things. I use a DJI Action 2 all the time and I absolutely love that camera, having it clipped to my chest. That is why I wanted this. It's the DJI Osmo Nano. Is it better than the Action 2? Is it better than my DJI Pocket 3, which I love? And that's what you're seeing right now. So, if you can see this in shot, that's the DJI Pocket 3. If you want to compare the footage of the two cameras, what I've done, I've come to the epicentre of YouTube in the UK, which is here. It's Brighton. Honestly, I can't throw this camera and not hit a YouTuber. They're everywhere. So, I thought I'd come here. It's like the spiritual home of content creation, even though they seem to leave after a year or two. But, I thought, well, this this is the place to try uh my vlogging. I do have a vlogging channel as well, the Dad Delivers vlog. So, I'm not a camera reviewer. I won't give you any specs because I... I have difficulty with what they mean. I just want to know if this works out of the box. But I do have two or three other channels that I shoot a lot of vlogging material for. And while I love the DJI Pocket 3, what I need is something rugged and something that where my heart doesn't do a somersault every time I drop it. And I do drop it a lot. I am going to give you as much footage as possible on this, the DJI Osmo Nano. I'm going to try it with different settings. We're going to try out the timelapse and the hyperlapse. I still don't know the difference between the two. And I'm going to try and show you some low light situations like shopping centre and coffee shop just to give you as much footage as possible. So, some of the footage is going to be really long and boring. I'll try to put as much information on screen as possible. Down in the description are all the time codes. If you want to jump ahead to see any particular type of footage from the DJI Nano, that's the place to go. Our day started on the train. This is us. So, we're pulling into Havant and we had 1 minute to make a connection from our train over to the train to Brighton. Let me let me show you what it's like just holding the camera and running for a train that doesn't appear anyway.
I was ahead of this.
So that was our train. We've made the connection. Just got to wait for our one to arrive now.

So then we get to the bit where this comes into its own, which is wearing a camera. You can detach the the monitor from the camera. You probably know this from the other videos. I've got the the magnetic lanyard. If I tuck that into my pocket here, I can then stick the camera onto my coat and it sort of blends in. So long as I have the tape over the logo. But this is how I've been wearing it for the footage that you're about to see of me walking around Brighton.

That was close.
Sorry.
Oh, try again. It's cuz we got a rail card. They treat you like a fare dodger. Thank you. Thanks. So, here we are in lovely Hove. I love this station. So, you got a little uh view of the Victorian interior. I want to get into Brighton itself, but I also want to get onto the seafront. Tell you what, we could do a time warp. Should we do a timewarp to the high street? I've not done one of those before. Here we go.

Uh, that was a hyperlapse. I've just noticed on the on the screen. I don't know if you can see this. You there's a little switch so you can just suddenly clonk into times one. But all I've got to do is press this button and it goes back into hyperlapse. Look.

Let's now go for a a hyperlapse. That's times 10. This is the difference between a x5 and a 10.

We just missed the bus. I love how you can hit the X1 button on this thing and just cut between the hyperlapse and something you want to talk about or point out and then just carry on. So now I can jump back into hyperlapse.

And this is what it's like on the DJI Nano. This is how the Nano looks when you're filming indoors in somewhere that's that's lit by bright LEDs. Usually the LEDs are a problem and they flicker even though you've got anti-flicker on and you set the the camera if you're in the UK you need to set it to 25 frames per second or you might be in a region where you need 30 frames per second and you wanted to go into Pull and Bear which I'd never heard of before. I thought it was called pulling bear, but it's pull and bear. Pull and bear. So, I'm... I'm chest wearing like this. The camera's down here. I'm chest-wearing it on this is horizon balancing on Dewarp and I'm just wandering aimlessly around the aisles looking at the uh keenly priced products. I'm going to go into IKEA now. It's a brand new IKEA that's just opened and they are really funny about filming in um Oxford Street. So, I don't know what they'll be like here. I'll... I'll hide the camera as we walk through the door. Um what I have been doing is wearing the camera on here so it kind of blends in with my with my coat. Uh which is kind of nice. But let's see how much I can get in the IKEA store. Probably not much at all. There's your thing. Does it work?

Seems to be coping with the mad LEDs. I'll just look around. See if it can cope with all kinds of light. And then you can cut it up and put it on some cheese. So that's what it's like filming in an IKEA. On the screen, it looked like the lights could cope... that the camera could cope with the lights, all those different LED type indoor lights, which is really difficult for vloggers who shoot in stores and shoot indoors. And even better, I've not been told to stop filming yet. So maybe they're just used to it in Brighton. Don't care. They just don't care. I... I think they've got so many vloggers here in Brighton, but you know, probably stop you if you don't have a camera. Now, you probably know this already from all the videos that you've watched on YouTube, but just to quickly run you through why this thing is special, there are two things that are absolutely golden for me as a... as a vlogger. The first is that it comes with a monitor screen. They call it a multi-functional vision dock. And the great thing with this is you just put the camera onto the multi-functional vision dock and uh as if by magic the screen springs to life. It also means that I can turn it around so I can be filming myself like this which is really handy that I can see myself and I can also see the audio level from my microphone. I'll come on to that in a moment. But the special thing with this is that you can turn it round. So, if I push the buttons in, I can turn the monitor around, push it back together again, and then I can then film like it's a conventional camera. The slight problem with that is if you've attached your microphone, your wireless microphone to this, you can't see the camera on the monitor if a microphone is attached and the camera is detached from the monitor. So, if I turn my microphone off now, I've switched the microphone off. You should be able to hear how this camera sounds through the internal microphone. And I think it probably doesn't sound quite as good, but I think it's pretty good sound. But the great thing with turning off the microphone is if I detach the camera from the monitor, you can actually see

what's on the camera from the detached monitor, which has been so useful when I was filming in the shops and just have a handy monitor just to double check your framing, especially when you're... when you're wearing this thing. you can walk around and just have a quick check on the multi-functional vision dock monitor screen. The second great thing for vloggers is that you can attach a DJI wireless microphone to this. I've now plugged in my DJI Mic 2. This is how it sounds. Being able to attach a wireless microphone to an action camera for me is it's really special. I think being able to hear myself properly, however far away this action camera is, it's absolutely phenomenal. I've had action cameras in the past where I've tried to plug in microphones to action cameras in the past and it's it's not ended well. So, you're walking around with this really tiny compact device and you've just got all these cables hanging out the of the side there, which doesn't help with the waterproofing. By the way, my daughter is on second camera. You're doing an absolutely brilliant job. I've got to ask you this, though. Should I dunk my brand new camera in the sea? Should we do it? I don't know. I don't... Part of me doesn't want to do it. Well, that's cuz of the fear that um... Well, it's going to die. Should we do it? We've got to do it, haven't we? I've not seen one review where they just throw this in the... in the sea. Okay. Make sure it doesn't like fall in, and lose it out to sea. I'll jump in. And I've still got the wireless mic attached as well. What I'm going to do, I'm going to take the protective cover off because when I did this with the Action 2, what happened was I kind of got seawater into the protective cover and I ended up getting salt crystals and it ruined the the connection. You can stay there if you want. It's honestly it's like trying to get my dog Casper to go in the sea. I do not want to put this camera into the sea. It's time to do your thing DJI Osmo Nano, and hopefully you'll be able to still hear me on the um on the wireless microphone. I'm going to be such a wuss. I tell you what, should I put it... I'll put it on the... We'll see how it goes. See if it gets washed out to sea. Will it?

I dunno how that looked So, this camera is waterproof to 10 m. cuz I think we did what, 2 cm there? And I didn't know if you could hear me. Now I've taken the wireless microphone off. I should be able to watch the footage on the... on the monitor so you can hear me now on the DJI Osmo Nano. This is the onboard microphone. The internal microphones, right? That's a big one. I'm just worried it's just going to get taken out to sea. I only just got the thing. Right. Here we go.

Get back.

Got it. So, it survived. I don't know how that sounded. I don't know if you can hear me now because the little microphone holes might be covered in uh seawater.

So,

this is horizon balancing standard dewarp. I've got some copyright music in the background, so I have to speak loudly and not stop talking. But this is what it's like indoors in a coffee shop. I tried to do some arty shots, but I'm actually having coffee with Gordon from Gordon Gets Coffee. Uh, I don't know if you've seen his YouTube channel. Well worth a subscribe, but he's used to shooting in coffee shops. No, now you need to lick the spoon. Put it in your mouth. Keep recording. That is one of the things I forget. When you have a camera this size, you can start to put the camera into really odd places. I forgot to say this thing is magnetic. So come over here. Look, watch this. I can just stick it to a post like that and you can get a groovy shot. So you can walk away and just walk past it. You know those vlogging shots. I'll do one of those walking walk past vlogging shots.

The battery life has been shorter than I thought it would be. The multi-functional vision dock... It goes down pretty quickly, which I guess is... isn't surprising cuz it is a big monitor screen and I have had it on while doing those time-lapses and hyperlapses. I'll put on screen now just to give you an idea. I started the day at 100% on both. And at 3:00 it was down to 25% on the camera, 10% on the monitor screen, vision dock. Obviously, your mileage will vary depending on how much screen is on and how much time-lapsing you do, but just give you an idea of how much footage I shot for how much battery percentage. This is supernight. I don't know if you can see any difference. And I'll turn around uh so you get different lighting effects on my face. Whoa. And actually, I'm standing under a... standing under a lamp post that is automatically coming on uh and off. That doesn't help my Supernight test. I've filmed some more shots on Supernight of trains arriving at the station. Trains arriving and leaving. Uh just to give you an idea of what Super Night looks like with movement. Here's a comparison between the DJI Pocket 3 uh with no Supernight on and the DJI Osmo Nano with SuperNight on. We got lots of weird uh lighting going on cuz the lights are automatic. When the train came in, it tripped off all of the the um street lights, the lamps.

So this is the DJI Nano on supernight mode and the DJI Pocket 3 just uh with no Supernight on. I have tried to give you as much footage as possible on this. If you want a a little review at the end, I absolutely love using this thing. I thought it might be a bit rubbish and I thought it might be a bit big to wear, but having a camera that you can drop and use in really bad weather and just stick to things magnetically is... is so much fun. And I don't think the picture quality is quite as good as the DJI Pocket 3 that you're seeing right now. But I can put this camera in so many places. And it just feels really good being able to detach the screen and just hold it like this. And being able to vlog like this, the camera, and not have to stretch my arm out. Just to do it like this. It's really discreet. It doesn't draw attention to yourself when you're wearing it or even holding it. It just looks like you're talking to your hand. But what do you think? Is this something that might help you make more YouTube videos? That's the whole point of this channel. Say hi in the comments below. Tell me if you are thinking of getting a DJI Osmo Nano. I want my channel to help you make more YouTube videos. I think the world's a better place with more YouTube videos and I really want to help you through that. So, thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the subscribe button. It really helps me to keep this channel going. And right here is what YouTube knows you want to be watching next.

Awesome Things to do in London with Older Kids

Our day trip to London with my teenage son: where we see the Roman Wall hidden in a car park, ride the buses and tubes, visit a couple of John Lewis stores and cafes, IKEA Oxford Street and as many CEX shops as possible! Plus a terrifying Santander bike ride across Tower Bridge.
Perfect family outing for older kids and teens!

Awesome Things to do in London with Older Kids

THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!

We've just ordered. Uhoh. We need to find an emergency exit. Seriously, don't. Let's get out. Just get out. Hello. Welcome back to the channel where I try new things to make your family happy. And the thing I'm trying today is trying to find things to do with a teenager here in London. Uh we haven't got long. Uh, so we're going to see how many random things we can do in one day here in the capital. It's tricky cuz we come up quite often. So, it's it's we're trying to find new things. So, I think we're going to try some new things today and you can come along with us and we're going to score each one as we go. Uh, I just need to not get killed by some traffic. So, the first place we've stopped at is this. It's the London Centre. And uh score out of 10 for a teenage visit, what would you give it? Four. A four. Oh, that's that's okay. That's higher than I thought. It's pretty cool cuz we actually came here for the toilets. So, I've got I've got a toilet map. I've got a link to a map of toilets around London. It's absolutely crucial for me. It used to be crucial for the kids, but actually it's crucial for me now cuz I'm constantly of my of a certain age. Anyway, this is the London Centre. It's is on the side of Guildhall. And Guildhall is like the the council offices for the Corporation of London, the city of London. It's like their headquarters. In the in the basement or just to the side here, they've got the London Centre and they've got this model of London. I think there's some kind of architectural uh exhibition and you can see all of London at this scale. I don't know what scale it is. It's probably on the sign that I'm showing as a closeup. Which one are you talking about? The wood. The small one. Yeah. 1 to 2,000. Oh, thank you. 1 to 2,000. That was fun to see London as a wei London. A tiny we London. Um, but also I managed to find a little wee model of the tower block that I lived in in King's Cross. So, that was cool. And our other house that was about two streets away fallen off the map, but it was good to see Lulworth, the tower block there. And then opposite that, there's another model that's slightly bigger. Do you know what what scale the other one was? 1 to 500. That's a bit more colourful. And I think they put buildings on there that are proposed just to see how they would look or to show people the architectural impact they would have. And even I'm getting bored even talking about this, but I I I liked it. It was good to see a wee London. More importantly, their toilets were absolutely beautiful. And it's really difficult to find toilets that aren't in three points. Starbucks or McDonald's. What was the What was three points for? Three points were the toilet and then the one point was the model. Was the model? Oh, good. So, the the model scored a point. A four out of 10 from this teenager. So, the next place we're going to is is a bit weird. I've seen it on loads of YouTube videos. Um, you really want to see this, don't you? Where we're going now. Show it in a video for sure. Okay. So, it's part of the original London Roman Wall, but it's in the basement of a car park. So, we got to find the car park. This is the London Wall car park. Apparently, it's around here somewhere, but I don't know where. I'm a wall. I'm in Roman times where Oh, you can see a bit of a wall over there. Okay. There is a street called London Wall and I think it's here. So, uh the car Oh, this looks good. Ooh, Ch. That looks a bit car parky, doesn't it? What do you reckon? Just walking some random alleyways now. Oh, yeah. There we go. Onto car park. Fantastic. This is Oh, this is like here. So, in Roman times, this would be where they park their chariots. Oh, look at this.

We should Google where in the car park it, shouldn't we? It might even be. It could be. I don't remember being I think it's definitely this car park. We can see the Roman wall just just ahead of us now. There we go. Oh, it's got a door. Don't even go in. Oh, you can. You can go in. No, it's locked. Of course, you can't go in. Look, it's a nice door. So, that's it. We've come all this way. Did you outside my heart? And that's it. I show from all angles. It's actually in car park space number 52 if you're looking for it. Purple 52. Can't park in number 52. There's some more here. We can actually touch it. I'm not sure I want to touch a Roman wall. Yeah, you just did. There we go. We've done it. So that's it from Roman time. Jump. Some van is parked next to the Roman wall. Space number 54. So instead of knocking it down, they uh gave it a parking space. Could they build like over it? Do you think they designed the whole parking lot around this wall? Yeah, probably. They'd have to. Well, the street is called London Wall. It shows how much London has risen over the years. That was cuz that's Yeah, that was ground level before. Where's the exit? Uh so in Roman times, this is where they go to the toilet. Oh, it does smell like Roman buildings, doesn't it? Old churches. This doesn't look like an exit. This is backrooms. Oh, that's a nice That's more like So, this is the nice way to get to it. We went completely the wrong exit. It's still got arrows from CO times. They still those arrows are still on the floor, aren't they? I want to make a video about that co signage that's still up 5 years later. But this this is the proper entrance with toilet sign where no toilets working. There you go. Wow. I mean, you wouldn't guess this. There's no There's no sign there, is there? There's toilet. There's a toilet sign. But this is So, this is the entrance. There's like no sign that it's even a car park, let alone uh bit of Roman wall down there. So, a score out of 10. A teenage score out of 10 for that. Seven. Solid seven. That was cool. So, that's better than the model. Yeah. You like the wall? Okay. Would you like to see a bit more wall? I found it. Oh, we're going to go to um Oxford Street now. And to do that, we're going to go over there. There's an Elizabeth line stop, so it's going to be really fast.

Yeah.

[Music]

It's July, by the way, but it's our only super bad day of weather, which is great cuz it's nice, little bit stormy, little bit of rain, not too much. Uh, but it makes it much easier to be pounding the pavements. Uh, I think we're going to go over this way now to my teenager's favorite chain store over here. I think this is one of the original CEXs, one of the original computer exchanges in in London and the nation. Uh, we love this little one. For some reason, it has just stayed here, which we love. We love just gorping at the secondhand electronics and games and uh, DVDs. We always we always stop at as many CEXs as possible. I've got a funny feeling we might be seeing one or two more today. Uh but this is the one in Well, I was going to say Soho. It's kind of Nohoo, north of Soho. So, how how much out of 10 would you give that one? CEX. Yeah. Feels good. Five. Five. Yeah. We're getting a bit of a league table here, aren't we? So 5 for the CEX.

Shut it down. Yeah, they they've sold it to who? Uh hotel. What? So people stay? Yeah. We're now in Tottenham Court Road going to the other uh CEX which is just down here. [Music]

[Music] old electronics. [Music] So, what what score out of 10 for this branch of CEX? Seven. Seven. So, this is better than the other one. Okay. Yeah. Let's eat, I'm hungry. Okay. Now we're going to get a bus, a number 73 bus down here down Tottenham Court Road. Turn right onto Oxford Street for a new place that's opened very recently. Very excited about this one.

[Music] So where are we going now? IKEA. and it's 1:30, so this is going to be absolutely the busiest time of day as well. So, we came here only a few months ago before it was built and it was just a pop-up shop and it was like a bit of a PR stunt where they just had a few things and now it's opened properly.

[Music] Yes, the cafe is down here underground one floor down and I don't know what the deal is for ordering. I think we're already in the wrong place.

What do you want? Yeah. Please leave the building immediately.

Just about to order. I'm not buying. And there's a there's a message saying, "Please leave the building immediately." I was just about I was just about We just ordered. Uh-oh. I was just about to go. This is emergency, right? So we're at the last time we can go. And now look, just before we head, we need to find an emergency exit. Seriously. Okay. Yeah, you can go. Just get out. [Music] Technically, we can just go. We could just run through. [Music] Seriously, don't run. Just get out.

Just get out. like

I wanted those meatballs. Oh, thank you. Well done for not tapping the car. That was close.

[Music] We did. Let's just go.

So, that was eventful. Okay, so we're now evacuated from the IKEA store. I think they just burnt some meatballs or something, didn't they? All the um the canteen stuff. I got a feeling that they might have been responsible for that. Maybe someone the alarm or something. Yeah, it could be someone pushing the alarm. You don't know though. You can't you got to be safe. Do you know what? Yeah, it's true. That's the first time I've been in a store evacuation. Wasn't it interesting? I stood there for 30 seconds before. Yeah, I You'd have gone quicker, wouldn't you? I think I would have just gone and we were the only ones to use that emergency exit as well. People just Yeah. Yeah. Like waiting to go up the escalator. I know. That was our lunch again. Right. So the second time this is actually the second time we tried to get meatballs in Oxford Street. But what is good though is they might wipe all those orders off and then we could go back in again when they've declared it safe. When are they going to say that? I don't know. Do you think it's safe being here? Should we like get out of the way? Oh man. Just as I was about to like tap it, it went Ooooh! Did you think that you tripped off the alarm with the 24 meatballs we ordered. We were here like literally 10 minutes before 4:00 on a Sunday and they said, "No, you we're not doing it. You You got to go." We're like, "Oh." We were this close to the meatballs and now we're just about to tap the credit card. That IKEA's cursed So, should we should we give it a provisional score? What score would we give the IKEA store Oxford Street? If I got it, that would have been a nine, right? It would have been a nine, but there's minus one. Minus one. Making us use the emergency exit. I liked that we had a bit of jeopardy, a bit of excitement, bit of emergency meatballs. I'm going to... Yeah, I wanted my meatballs. I'd give it three for the evacuation experience. Yeah, I've never had to do that. Yeah, that was cool. I need you. I hope I didn't. So, next we're going here. John Lewis everywhere. He's going for it. I didn't. So, next we're going here. John Lewis. Uh hopefully there won't be a fire alarm. It definitely won't be meatballs though, unfortunately. But we like we like hanging out here on the top floor. I can show you. Uh we're going to go just up there onto the balcony up there. [Music] So, we have come to the top floor here at John Lewis where they have a restaurant. But the best thing about this restaurant is apart from they do all sorts like coffees and uh uh fish and chips. We've gone for chunky chips. And you get to take it out here onto the balcony which it was just £2.50. You can sit outside. There's a little door at the back and uh you can overlook Oxford Street. It's fantastic and get infinite. I love it here. I always come here just to kind of clear my head, have a little coffee. They're rebuilding Devon's next door, so you can probably hear the construction work bang banging. They've been doing that for years. It's true. But it is a really nice experience just sitting outdoors just get fresh fresh air. But I was going to say a bit of calm, but you can't hear it over the construction noise. We've gone for chunky chips because we want to save ourselves for the the meatballs. It's a day out with dad. Double chips. These chips are absolutely gorgeous.

Absolutely perfect. served almost instantly. Is it really hot?

Amazing. Maybe you can see that.

What What would you give John Lewis? Uh food was great. 10 10 chips. First 10 minutes and we didn't get kicked out. Yeah. that cost them. So, we're back on the street of Oxford and Oh, look. It's a undercover car there. What?

There's something going on. Usual bit of BMW parking. It's like stealth stealth police car. Act like a BMW driver. Uh so, we are now going to go back to Field of Dreams. Hopefully uh fire alarm free IKEA now. See if we can get those meatballs. I swear if something else happens. Third time lucky. Here we go. They're all coming out. What's going on?

Okay. Thank you. Why do you want chips? Yeah, chips, please. But don't tell anyone that we're filming. meatballs. You want to scan your IKEA card? Oh, yeah. Why not? Yeah. Those were the emergency doors that we ran through. That was good, wasn't it? So, that's that's the way to do it.

So, we finally finally got our meatballs. They come in a box, which is kind of cool. And um get a little bit of lingenberry on there. Just a tiny very delicate little slight blob of lingberry sauce jam on the meatballs. We're on a what would you call it? A counter with stalls. It's pretty pretty comfortable. How is it? Worth the wait and three visits with no fire alarm. And then I've got the uh sustainable cutlery as well, which is nice. Got some gravy. Oh, perfect fries. Doing meatball as well. He's doing meatball as well. I should be having a gravy this morning. What? At home? No. Here we go. See, I think these are better than the ones at Southampton. No offence. I Southampton. These seem more delicately cooked. What do you think? I love that. That's what you have to worry about cuz you choose chips. Yeah, it's true. Those chips chips are bad. They're bad. I think we're now going to go to London's West London and uh we'll see Westfield down there. One last look at the uh the sights and sounds of Oxford Street, Regent Street. We should go down here. Let's go down the tube.

[Music]

This is a Central Line train to Ealing Broadway.

So, we've taken the Central Line to here. Beautiful Shepherd's Bush. We've got the Westfield Center on the left and we got the Not so Field uh shopping centre on the right. Which one would you prefer to go to first? The Westfield just there. And we've never been to this CEX. CEX in Shepherd's Bush. Score out of 10. Found what I want. So that's five. And then I use my voucher. This is sick. I I give it a five though cuz five. I wait to wait a long time for like a Skyfall DVD of which there were many. I brought a cable. So I give I give that a five as well. A nice cable. It was a nice cable for a good price. We've now come here to Westfield, London, just over the road. This is the Westfield Shopping Centre, White City. Just going to wander around aimlessly, I think, here. And I'm I'm looking for a wallet at the moment. It turns out I'm really fussy cuz I've had my wallet for over 20 years. And uh it seems I really want a very specific shaped appointed wallet. We just had a look around the the BYD cars. That was fun. Well, I give that a a five out of 10 as well. They look good on the outside, but inside quality. Yeah. So, we're in the the John Lewis in Westfield. And every time I've been in here, it's not been busy. That's nice. That's already scores a five. So, we find ourselves in another John Lewis balcony. This one is at the Westfield. I I've never been here. It's crazy. We've been We've been to Westfield so many times. I didn't know this balcony existed. It's really nice. Just get to see see where I used to work over at BBC TV Centre. Just nice views of uh West London. Looks all right in the sunshine. Now we are on our Boris bikes. We're on some Santander cycles. So, we've got a couple of bikes and it's not cheap, but it's cheaper than the line bikes. I think we're going to see if we can cycle over Tower Bridge. And to me, this is terrifying cuz there's no segregated cycle lane on the Tower Bridge. And we've got crazy cyclists as well. Okay, so Tower Bridge, it's just over there. We'll somehow get across six lanes of traffic. That is not on the cycle path.

[Music]

Check it out. You don't want to go through... I do!

look at this.
