Hello, how do you open a locked folder in Google Photos?
How do you even find a locked folder in Google Photos?
You probably know this already, but you can move photos and videos in Google Photos to a special hidden folder called locked folder, and I'll show you where to find it on a laptop, desktop, MacBook, or mobile device like Android phone, iPhone, or iPad.
Let's see how to access locked folder first with a desktop, laptop, or MacBook.
We need to go to the Google Photos website. That's photos.google.com, obviously. Check you're in the right Google account by clicking on your avatar, your face on the top right-hand corner, and on the tabs down the left-hand side, down here is locked folder.
We can't open this until we have entered our password and... we're in. Congratulations, this is our locked folder.
To move photos and videos out of locked folder, just select the photos by ticking on them, then click on the Move button at the top here, where we can also delete or download the pictures.
This is how to open the locked folder in the Google Photos app on mobile devices like this Android phone, or iPhone, or iPad.
On the Google Photos homepage, make sure you're logged into the correct Google accounts by clicking on this Avatar picture on the top right-hand side. Then, we'll need to click on the library tab, which is this button on the bottom right-hand corner.
There's a button along the top called utilities, click on that and scroll all the way down to locked folder at the bottom of the list here.
We now need to use our device security to gain access to the locked folder, and congratulations, here are all our hidden photos and videos.
If you want to move photos and videos out of the locked folder, just select them by long pressing the picture, and we have the option on the bottom here to either move or permanently delete.
Congratulations, we did it.
