Here's a quick GCSE revision tip that’s actually working for us! If you’ve got loads of words and definitions to remember, try writing them on index cards and turning it into a matching game. It makes revision way more active (and slightly less painful) than just staring at a textbook. Plus, color-coding by subject helps keep things organised. We’ve been testing this out, and it really seems to help the definitions stick. Let me know if you’ve got any other revision tricks!

Here's a quick GCSE revision tip that we've just picked up. It seems to be really working! If you have lots of words and definitions to remember, um, the technique is to write them out on index cards and then, as a game, try to match up the definition with the, with the word. That way, it becomes a lot more active, and you sort of gamify it, and it sort of forces you to look at the definitions when probably that's the last thing you want to do.
But, um, this is easy cuz it's not staring at a page of text. It's like an active game.
Does this seem to be working?
Right, so you get to see them together in the same... yeah. When you write them as flashcards, it sort of hides the things, it doesn't actually join them together, but physically pushing the cards together does actually, uh, help it go in. Because this is the second time you've done this, and you' managed to sort all of the definitions with the terms.
Procaryotic is cells that don't have genetic material of Eucaryotic.
Vacuole a large organelle in plant cells that contain cell sap.
That means I got cytoplasm right, which is where most chemical reactions occur.
And the other thing that seems to be working is to colour-code the cards so that the, uh, this is science, so obviously, the green cards for biology, blue for physics, and yellow for chemistry. So that's really helped to, uh, sort all the definitions of words.
And there was some reward... there was some reward here, but it seems to have gone down a lot, which is a lot of reward
that you ate!
I am calling this a Dad success!
