It's a day out in London for a GCSE photography day! We race around the city's iconic landmarks, from Tower Bridge to St. Paul’s Cathedral and Battersea Power Station! 📸 My son takes on the challenge of capturing the best shots, navigating busy crowds, hunting for a perfect burger, and even ride up the famous Battersea Power Station smoke stack, sorry Chimney in Lift 109 for an epic elevator night time view. Along the way, missed shots, unexpected detours, and a long walk as we try (and fail) to stay on track. Was Lift 109 worth it? Did we get the perfect London skyline shot? Is it another Dad delivers success…?! 😆🎥

Okay, oh, so it's GCSE photography day, and we're in London's London. This is Waterloo, and we've already got off to a cracking start. Say "we"—it's my son's project, I'm just getting in the way, filming some behind-the-scenes stuff.
It's practice for when you get a good one.
It is. I haven't done this in such a long time. It's really cool, just wish I had a wider lens on this.
Okay, so they put money into this lens, then they put a really crap screen on, so I don't know whether I took a good photo. So, we're three landmarks in here—it's going very well so far.
It's a good one. Yep - another one bites the dust.
Pretty cool how we can just go, "Yeah, okay." It's a little bit busy, which I think is good. It's good for the project, isn't it? But it's a bit busy. I don't know why it keeps pointing up.
Great.
Yeah, you—
There's a bit of bad language there.
Missed the shot there.
Little bit of, uh, English, English GCSE revision now. Uh, we've got to go for the punctuation. Uh, there—interesting punctuation there. Just keep him on his toes.
Just going for the Tower of London and Tower Bridge now.
Oh, it's so much quieter here, isn't it?
So, we've not actually used the, uh, the regular boats. We've used the tourist boats, but I've not actually yet tried one of the, you know, like, the commuter boats. I'd like to give that a chance too, but today is photography—oh, this is—I've gone the wrong way, it's a dead end.
It really is just a pier.
Okay, obviously, we are on the bridge now.
So, we're all a bit, uh, a bit too close to everything at the moment. So we're going to, uh, look for some burgers—that'll be the right place for photography.
You see the dude making a video.
Okay, so our favorite burger location is just over here. It's got that view.
Okay, it turns out that our, uh, favorite burger place is absolutely rammed. So we're now on a bus.
We're so hungry.
Well, we're on a bus to St Paul's, so we can get to St Paul's Cathedral. And we know there's a burger place next to St Paul's, so we'll—we'll try there.
Okay, this is us!
Right, so we're now at St Paul's.
But it's burger time.
So that's, uh, another landmark in the bag—St Paul's Cathedral. They've got this major, like, movie set, or, you know, movie unit at the bottom there.
Wonder what movie they're making.
So, uh, Battersea Power Station is our next trip. It's all the way down there—probably can't see it.
You can just about see the smoke tower—the smoke stack. Smoke stack.
We're going to try and get a bus from here.
Uh—go ahead.
You - no, it's fine - thank you.
Oh, that's cool, is it?
We're now at Battersea Power Station.
How—how do you think the day is going?
Great!
Yeah, look, there it is.
It's Battersea Power Station.
We've been here a couple of times before. We rode some bikes, and we wandered around here aimlessly. And now we're going to do that with a camera.
I think we might try and go up one of the smoke stacks.
I don't know how easy that is on a Saturday afternoon, with all the tourists and full-on shoppers here.
We'll give it a try.
I've got low battery—oh.
So we've come inside, and you can see there's, like, loads of shops here. Uh, no good for the photography, 'cause that has to be of landmarks.
But we're going to see if we can go up the smoke stack.
Been promising it so many times.
I—I don't know how this works. Is it like a lift inside the tower?
Let's, uh, give it—give it a try.
And—final sunset pic.
So we've bought the tickets to the lift that goes up there, but it's another hour and 15 minutes.
So we're just killing—literally killing—an hour by wandering around the retail park here, around Battersea Power Station.
So you've got all the daytime photos now, yeah?
Which is fantastic.
So we'll go up—up the smoke stack.
Uh, up where Pink Floyd hung their pig.
And then we'll probably do all the landmarks again, but in the dark.
We'll just see how long our batteries last.
Take a look at this sunset over here. It's going—it's literally disappearing.
Can't really see it through the walkway and stairs inside the chimney.
Reminds me of—half of what? Half—half a science game.
This is like Half-Life, apparently.
Uh, did they say how many steps?
100 steps.
There we go.
6 million bricks.
That's the lift.
Lift—6 million bricks.
Yeah, there it is.
Oh, shh—
Come around.
Hello, everyone, welcome to Lift 109.
Please do not lean on the door.
It's pretty cool, isn't it?
Yeah, good lights.
See—oh wow.
Okay, that's pretty cool.
I can see—
That was a bit of a surprise, just had London suddenly revealed from the window.
That's looking north.
Oh, wow. I think that's, uh, uh, Victoria down there.
It'd be really good in a storm, wouldn't it, if it was raining, so I don't think we realized—it's like a viewing deck that pops out at the top of the tower.
So, like, we're at the top of one of those, and this is South London, looking out to Vauxhall there.
And there—a bit of smoke.
Is that real smoke, or is that just pretend steam?
So, I wasn't expecting it to just pop out the top of the smoke stack—were you?
I think we'd, like, step out into something, and then suddenly, you can just see London all around through the windows.
Everyone gasped.
Yeah, that's it.
That was good, wasn't it?
You—you got some amazing shots.
It's like Monument, but with lots of LED strips.
That was so good.
Lift 109 in Battersea Power Station.
I've always wondered if it's worth the money.
I think it is, because it was just the two of us—it was, I think, just the right amount of money.
So, uh, I'm calling this a Dad Delivers success!
Oh, not the camera!
