Oops, how do you cook frozen french fries in an air fryer?
Maybe you're looking up cooking times and temperatures.
Come with me. This is going to be a quick video.
I'm going to make some frozen french fries for me and the family, but mostly me. Now, where, where, where did I put these?
Ah, regular store-bought. These are actually Aunt Bessie's frozen french fries, and it's a 700g bag. I'm putting in half a bag, which is about 350g. I'll put that in ounces and pounds on screen now.
I've done something wrong.
I think we need to preheat it.
Ninja, this is a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone air fryer.
Ninja say in the instructions that you don't need to preheat the air fryer, but I think for chips, we don't want to warm them up; we want them to get in hot and get out. So, I'm going to preheat this first.
I'm going to go Max Crisp, and I'll just put it on for, I don't know, a minute.
So now the basket is nice and warm.
We throw the, oops, we'll throw the fries in, and I am going to set this to Max Crisp.
Now again, in the instructions, it's really weird because it says you can't adjust the temperature, but on my Foodi Max, you can.
Now, we want it to be as hot as possible, but I'll probably go for 210°C. That's 425°F.
And I'm going to try and do it for 11 minutes. I'll put the actual time on screen now, but I'm going to do 11 minutes, and then I'll check how we're doing. So I'll hit start.
It is now about halfway through the process, so we're going to take it out, give it a shake.
They're looking good, and put them straight back in.
Fingers crossed. Got a good feeling about this.
3, 2, 1, here we go. Wow, these are looking absolutely delicious, perfect.
These french fries look great, but let's land them on the plate.
I think these chips are looking absolutely perfect, steaming fresh, and they're crisp without being burned.
There are a couple in here that don't look great, but that's not because of the air fryer; they're just dodgy fries.
But the big test, the big taste test. I hate eating on camera, but here we go.
Just perfect, crisp on the outside, and nice and light and fluffy on the middle.
I am calling these french fries a Dad delivers success!

Hello, welcome back to the channel, and would you take a look at these delicious burgers?
Believe it or not, these are frozen beef burgers from the supermarket, cooked in our Ninja Foodi Max Air Fryer.
I've got buns, lettuce, and slices of Dutch cheese going on here, so if you want to know what is the cooking time and temperature for Frozen Quarterpounder burgers in an air fryer, the place to be is right here in this video!
And of course, this footage is a gift from future me, so I don't know how this is going to work out.
Now, this is the first time I'm doing this in the air fryer, so I'm quite excited about this.
I've got some frozen quarter pounder burgers. They're from Aldi, which is not one of the most expensive supermarkets here in the UK, but I got the specially selected Aberdeen Angus quarterpounders.
I'm hoping that what I cook in the air fryer will end up looking like this.
Now, do you remember the catchphrase "bung it in the air fryer"?
So, I'll just put these—I'll put these Frozen Burgers into the basket.
Got a nice shot of them there.
This is a tip, this is a pro tip because I did this with not frozen Burgers.
If you go back into the basket, I found that if you have the burger over here on this middle bit of the tray, that bit won't cook it. And now, of course, it's time to bung it in the air fryer!
Thanks. If you've not used a Ninja air fryer before, we'll turn it on, and we're going to choose air fry, and we are going to dial up 350°F or 180°C, and I'm going to put on 10 minutes.
Now, I'm not sure if... I'm not sure if it is 10 minutes, so I'll put on screen now what the final time is, but this is the time that I'm going to try just to see how they work out.
Oh, I'm going to move them again because when you push the tray in, it does throw the food around in the basket, so I've made sure they're not in the middle, and then we just hit the start-stop button.
Let's bung it in the air fryer! Let's stop.
Now, while the burgers are cooking in the air fryer, you can probably hear in the background the whirring.
I'm going to show you the Buns that I got.
Got the special, the special buns. I got some Brioche burger buns, and I think, "Wow, is this going to be too much to put two burgers in one bun?"
You'll see from the footage earlier what I ended up with.
I've got some little gem lettuce. I'm going to put some greenery into this burger. It's purely for decoration rather than health reasons, but I'm using this little gem lettuce again from the supermarket, and I'm not going to go crazy.
I'm just going to peel off a few leaves, I think. But I've managed to dig out our salad spinner to actually wash the leaves.
I think I could probably do this with a handful under the tap, but let's put them into the salad spinner anyway.
Oh, by the way, I'll put a link to this salad spinner down in the description below, and it's really great because it's got this removable basket.
Just give it a quick rinse, and then when I put it back into the spinner, lock up the lid. I can then give it a spin to shake off all the water, make it nice and crispy and zingy.
It's really difficult doing this with one hand while you're holding the camera, so it probably is easier doing it this way if you're filming it yourself.
And this is where my burger-making capabilities differ from, say, my beautiful wife's, but I like to shred the greenery as thin as possible so you can sprinkle it on, and I don't know, do a bootleg McDonald's impression. The other thing I'm using is this Dutch Gouda slices. Is it Gouda or Gouda?
But I love the flavour of the Gouda or the Gouda, and I'm probably going for two slices. They're a bit huge, so what I'll probably do is fold them in half, get them ready, and then we'll sit them onto the burger.
I'm going to see if I can try and melt them onto the burger using the air fryer, but I don't want to—I don't want to go crazy... crazy, and I don't want to burn the bun, so I'll get those ready there.
Finally, because I'm going absolutely veg crazy, I'm going to cut this tomato up.
I always forget, do you go lengthways or... I—this is the right way, isn't it? And you're probably in a part of the world where you call it tomato. So there's my tomato, my two slices of tomato.
Yeah, this is a completely unpronounceable dish, isn't it, with a tomato-tomato and Gouda-Gouda?
I completely forgot to take a look at how the burgers are doing. So, we're 9 minutes in.
Wow, okay, they're looking good.
That's good. I'm still seeing red juices run out.
Let's get the Wyclef Jean silicon tongs, and we'll just flip them over.
Yeah, this is coming along nicely.
I think it might end up being 12 minutes.
Let's get them out and... oh, okay, so they're looking... they're looking good, but you can see the juices are running pink.
Probably flip them over again. I think I'm going to put these on air fry 350°F again, and we'll go for... should we go for 3 minutes?
But I'll check during the 3 minutes.
Let's bung it in the air fryer!
While they're finishing off, I'm going to put the Brioche bun - the Bap - into the second basket because it is a dual-zone air fryer, and oh, I don't know what to do.
How about I dial up number two and I'll put it on air fry, and I'll just put them on for a minute.
I think they only need about 30 seconds.
We'll just do a minute, and then I'll hit start.
So, time of moment of truth.
These are looking absolutely delicious.
I think we're good to go.
I'll take them over to the prepping area.
Oh, let's check the buns. I forgot the buns. So, the buns, yeah, the bun is looking just right. It feels nice and warm now. I think I'm going to double-stack these.
Oh, look, it touched the heating element. And first to go on are the cheese slices. So, I'll do one slice, get the silicone tongs, set one on top of the slice of cheese, and then I think I'll go for another slice of cheese, and then I'd be terrible in McDonald's and I'll put another burger on top. Now, I want the cheese to melt, so I'm going to put the cheese on the burger.
And then, then we'll go for the greenery, right?
So, I'll put that on the bun 'cause it might hold it better.
And I'm doing this, I've got to say, I'm doing this with one hand while I'm holding the camera.
I should, should I put the camera down?
That's better.
I can use both hands now.
And I'm not using any old barbecue sauce, no, I'm going for the classic barbecue sauce.
I think this one's from Lidl, another budget supermarket in the UK.
I'm going to drizzle this onto the lettuce, uh, the tomato on both sides there.
So you could serve it like that, I guess, but you, I've got to, I've got to fold it, haven't I?
This could go horribly wrong. I don't think I've got enough room in the picture to hold it.
Burger stack, oh my goodness, that is looking pretty good.
Now, I probably shouldn't do this, but I really want to melt the cheese, so what I might do is try and get this stack into this could go horribly wrong.
Oh my God, everything's fallen off, I've wrecked it.
These will be my beauty shots for the beginning. So, I take the tomato out, this is going to go really wrong 'cause it's going to make the lettuce warm, isn't it?
But anyway, let's put it in, let's see, let's see if I can melt the cheese.
Basket number two, I don't know, what should we go for? No, let's go for 400°F or 200°C, and we'll go for 1 minute.
Oh boy, this could ruin the burger, but I really want the cheese to melt. Here we go, and I could have completely ruined my two quarter pounders, my half pounder, my beautiful half pounder, and I really wanted it to look good for the beginning of the video as well, so this might, this might not be a brilliant idea, half pounder, double quarter pounder.
Oh look, that's not too bad, yeah, the cheese's melted, okay, that's better, yeah.
And look, it hasn't ruined the lettuce, so try and lift it out, really, really carefully.
Then, oh no, that's looking great, look at that, it's looking a bit bedraggled, isn't it?
So let's put some, I don't know, some greenery on the side, tomato's falling out, but I don't know a way of melting the cheese onto the burgers without having the greenery and the sauce on it, so if you've got any tips for how I could have melted the cheese better without making a huge mess, uh, let me know in the comments below.
But I mean look, this looks edible, and I do like that singing, that slight singing of the bun on the edge there where it's touched the heating element of the Ninja Foodi Max Duo Zone air fryer, just a little bit of extra flavour.
I think the Gouda has melted really nicely, and I'm glad I did bother with the tomatoes in the end. I don't usually do this, I'm only doing it to show off, but the hardest thing with cooking a burger in an air fryer is can I eat it without getting all the sauce and everything down my white shirt?
Oh, it's my son, hello, look what I got.
I might need to blur this out, oh my word, magnificent. I am calling this... sorry, I am calling this a dad delivers success!
Forget Five Guys, eight guys. Thank you for hitting the thumbs up, all the subscribe button, it really helps me keep this channel going. And on screen now are all my other Ninja Foodi Max Air fryer snacks.

Hello, welcome back to the channel. How do you fit a protective tempered glass screen to a phone like this, the Samsung Galaxy A15?
It's a lovely phone and I just got one for my daughter, but how do you fit a glass screen that will protect the real screen underneath?
You're going to see how I fit protective screens to our family's mobile phones step by step for beginners.
I'm not saying this is the best or the only way to do it; this is just the way that I do it and it seems to be bubble free.
We currently have three out of our family's four phones with cracked or smashed screens, so it's really important that I get this screen onto the phone as quickly as possible to protect it from another drop or I don't know... I don't know how they do it!
How do they crack so many phones?
So the first thing I'm going to do is to try and make sure I have a dust free area.
Oh, by the way, you can see this protective screen has cracked so I'm going to remove this first, but you might be doing this for the first time.
Some people say it's best to do this in the bathroom to fit the screen in a bathroom and I have done that before but it's... it is a pain doing it on the... on the toilet seat so I'm not going to do that today.
It looks much nicer on camera to do this on our kitchen table. It's not perfect but it will reduce the dust in the area.
I'm going to use the box for the protective screen... by the way I'll put a link to this particular screen down in the description.
I'm going to put the A15 actually on the box here and this is pretty dust free as well but I'm going to use this like a little workbench.
And obviously the first thing I need to do - apart from putting my glasses on - is take off the old tempered glass screen. There we go.
Trouble is if you have a cracked screen and it takes another knock your screen isn't protected.
We have some stickers and we have a cloth for drying, got a wet wipe so just open that ready, and we have the protective screen.
I always go for tempered glass rather than film because plastic film I think scratches easier than tempered glass, and you can see there's a tab.
That's going to pull away the protective side that's going to stick... so this tab side is the side that goes down onto the phone.
And before we do anything I'm going to line up the screen to just see how it should go.
Now with any phone there's going to be some play between where the screen actually meets The Edge.
I want the screen to be dead centre. It's going to be really important that it's Center width ways. It's not quite so important for it to be precisely Central up and down but it's absolutely essential that left and right are centred, and we want the screen to be straight so it doesn't fall off the edge. So what I'm going to do is line up exactly how I want it. I'm going to put these guide stickers on. I'm going to put one on the bottom on the right-hand side here and I'll put one on the other side... on the side here. And this will give us the chance to completely line it up so it's dead straight.
And then I'm going to flick this sticker over just to hold it in place. I'm going to flip this other one now. I'm going to really stick them all the way over so this screen if I apply pressure this way when I flip it over it should land in exactly how I want it.
I think I'm going to use the third one because I've gone a bit too far over the edge on this side. So I get the third sticker... make sure it's centered... there.
So that's going to really help me land the screen in the right place once the screen underneath is clean.
Next, I get the wet wipe and we can clean this screen.
The wet wipe removes the residue from the previous screen. If you're doing it for the first time it also kind of makes it less static.
I'm going to put this just to the side here in case we need it then we get the cloth and we'll just use this to dry it, but this won't remove the dust.
Even one tiny Speck of dust will cause a little air bubble and we want to avoid those as much as possible.
Now this is the dust absorber.
What we're going to do is just dab it all the way around the screen and I'm looking with my glasses... It's much easier to do this if the screen is turned off so we've got a black screen and I can see the reflection of the kitchen light on the screen so I can see if there any tiny tiny particles or dust.
And we want to be quick with this because the longer I do this the more chance there is of more new dust in the air Just landing. And I'll stick this to one side in case I need it in a moment.
I'm going to tear off the film.
Tear it to the side and then we're going to land this on the phone nice and straight.
Now the glue is sticking in the middle... that's good and I'm just going to work it outwards.
Please, please, please don't let there be any bubbles.
There, that's going really well and the great thing with these screens is that the glue does actually spread over time so don't worry if you get tiny, tiny bubbles... because the glue underneath does kind of spread itself out.
But what I'm going to do is just to rub as much as possible just to spread the adhesive from the tempered glass screen protector all around.
This is looking really good.
The other good thing with using tempered glass is - because it's rigid - it's a lot harder to get bubbles, and I found with the film you know just protective film that it's easier to get bubbles.
So we can now take these guide stickers off but if you do have a bubble it is possible to lift it up with your fingernail and try and use the dust absorber to try and get it off... and then relay the corner of the screen where the bubble has appeared.
So take these off and I'm really proud of this so I'm going to hold it up to the camera!
And you can see that it is completely bubble free.
So really... you know make sure you rub out all these tiny... I've got a tiny, tiny air bubble around the edge.
Not under the screen just where the edges aren't sticking properly so I'm really going to rub those out.
The screen actually came with a protective case.
What's great about this protective case is that it's got these Edge bumpers which don't look elegant but they are chunky enough to take the hit if you drop it.
So I'm just going to push that back on.

it's a birthday!
it's a birthday time but disaster!
there's no there's no soda in the sodastream!
here's how to change the canister on a regular sodastream
[MUSIC]
Casper is very excited about the uh party Shenanigans but uh let's let let's get this gas canister changed
[MUSIC]
so first we have to open the... the new canister
don't do what we do... we did...
you can actually exchange your old canister and you get some money off the new canister yeah!
but we... we forgot to do that
you get this canister for less
right but we've got... so we've got two canisters going
so what you can do is take the canister out... go to the shop... Swap it and then get a new one
but anyway we... we we're living it large
oh and this is... this is how long our SodaStream has lasted!
each one’s like a use
look at that
that's like 720ml
yeah that's quite a lot of...
not bad
yeah a lot of squirts
so we're going to open the new yeah...
you can use it from the bottom
I tear it from the bottom
okay and then what - then you take this cap off
does it just twist off
yeah there we go great stuff and then on... on the sodastream there's a button at the back
you push that in and then you can pull the top half up and that has the canister attached
or maybe you're doing it for the first time
you obviously won't have that
so I can take that old canister... we take that to the shop and get feels a lot lighter
it does doesn't it
yeah oh okay yeah this one's light
and then you just put it in
I'm not sure I caught that
Do you want to do that again
but inside there's like a... a thread and focus...
yeah and then there's a thread on the top of the bottle so then what you do is line it up with the hole and just twist it in like that
and then whoa!
squirt your dad in the face
wait
[Laughter]
wait and then you just slide it in until it clicks
tray comes off
Cool reloading so that's looking that's looking good isn't it
we're going to demonstrate uh how to how we Fizz our bottles in the SodaStream
So my son is filling it up to the line as you go a bit over yeah you get extra yeah and we don't yeah we don't do it too much because then there'll be a pressure build up there just like explode
wise words
[Music]
and then over to the soda stream and then what you do is you line it up and then you twist it anticlockwise so you twist it the wrong way
ooh pizza’s ready
um so we screw it up until it tight until it won't turn anymore
that's our pizza alarm
Okay Google stop!
and then... I like to do three bursts how many do you do?
how many do you go for, three?
[Music]
okay yeah you'll want to see bubbles around here
carbon!
it's bad for the atmosphere all of it is bad!
so we've got all of this technology just to put some Fizz into some liquid
but I hope that shows you how to change your sodastream canister um hit us up with any questions in the comments
be lovely to hear from you just say hi uh' be great to hear from you
and thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the Subscribe button

Want to know how Roblox works? Where to start with a Roblox account? Why we never by Robux? This is a beginners guide for Parents on the Roblox platform, and a tour given by my daughter. How she chooses Roblox games to play, where to find the favorites and what an Obby is! Roblox for beginners who are parents...
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
If you have kids, chances are they are absolutely glued to this.
It's Roblox, or is it Roblox? I can't even say it properly.
My kids are on Roblox 24/7, and I realized the other day that I know absolutely nothing about Roblox, and that feels really bad because this thing spends more time with my kids than I do.
The new thing I'm making your family happy is find out exactly what is Roblox, how does it work, and where do you even get started for beginners.
For this, we are getting a tutorial with the best Roblox expert, it's my 12-year-old daughter.
There's a lot that we don't cover here like how to download the app or creating a Roblox account or buying Robux, which is currency that you can spend in Roblox like buying different costumes for your avatar character, or using money to skip levels.
We have a total ban on in-app spending in my house.
I track everything by just turning everything off. That was after the great Barbie app rinsing me for $20 without me knowing anything about it, disaster a few years ago.
Thanks, Barbie!
Oh,
But anyway, here's me getting schooled by my girl on the basics for getting started with Roblox.
So, I've logged in for the first time, and well, it's not the first time 'cause I've done this years ago, and this is the homepage. Yeah, what do I do now?
So, um, when you scroll down the homepage, you'll see multiple games you can press on. So, for example, this random game, Guess the Emoji, all you have to do is press the green play button, and it joins you to a server.
Basically, different games are created by different people, and if you look, there are sometimes ages, so ages 9 plus, all ages, all ages.
It gives you an age restriction.
And does it know your age?
Yes, 'cause that's in your profile.
So, what is Roblox? I don't, 'cause to me it looks like a bunch of free-looking games that are a bit like Minecraft.
Yeah, I guess so. You can get all types of different games.
You can get cooking games, salon games, Obby games.
So, how do you find the games that you play?
So, the ones you most recently played, you can find at the top, yeah, and it should be under the subtitle "continue," and you can find the games you've been playing.
Or you can even favorite games by pressing the three dots there and then pressing the star.
And if you scroll right to the bottom of your homepage, you will find all the games you've favorited.
But how did you even find the games that you play in the first place? Do you just try them, or did people tell you about them?
I try multiple games, see what kind of things I like. Like, I find like, kind of like Obby games.
What's Obby? What's an Obby game?
It's like parkour. You have to jump from place to place.
And right, so Obby, that is short for obstacle, yeah, or like horror games.
And then on your screen here, it says friends 11. Are these real people that you know? Are these, well, you can friend people that you don't know.
Great, um, but great, but these friends, do you know them all?
The friends I have, these are I know these people.
Okay, so you've got obstacles games which are like jumping over things, yeah.
What else is there 'cause I don't know? I don't know where to start.
There's multiple games. It's literally like an app store. You have multiple games, and they're all for free, and you can just press on them and play the game for as long as you want.
So it's free, all the games are free? Mm, can I play a game with you?
Yes,
how do we do that?
If we friend one another, then we're able, for example, this thing, you can blur their name out if they're in the middle of playing a game, so that means they're online, yeah, and that means you can join their game.
Oh,
if they're playing a game you can join them,
that's clever, okay. So if I wanted, so first thing I've got to do is make friends with you,
yeah, great. Story team people and then there we go,
that's me,
yeah,
all right. So now I've got a notification and can anyone do that, can anyone like literally type in your name, how could they see your name on Roblox? Can they see your name when you're playing a game? Can they see your name and go, I'm going to make friends with that person,
Yeah. So, for example, um, if I join a random game the keys go for it, turn that down.
These are all the people in the game, yeah. So, this is um, you can look at their Avatar, yeah.
This is you can report them, this is you can block them.
So what happens if you click on look at Avatar?
Well, you can just see what wearing, okay.
If you press the report button you can fill in a report, so you can say offsite links, personal question, cheating, exploiting, dating, scamming, bullying, inappropriate username or swearing.
What's dating, is that if they ask you out or something,
yeah, something like that.
What did you think - I shouldn't have answered that question,
no, yeah, that's basically it, okay. And then if you press that I think I'
you just blocked them! it blocks them, yeah,
yeah.
Do you know that person?
No, there must be a way of unblocking someone.
Well, I don't care, it's just some random person, I know it was by accident I didn't I was like pointing like oh, um, add friend, um, yeah.
So when you're in the same game as them if someone add friends you it will pop up in the corner and you can either accept or decline or just not touch it at all and it will appear in your notifications there
and have people... do you get add friend requests while you're playing sometimes and you well you've only got 11 friends so you must reject them all the time,
yeah,
is that annoying?
Well like sometimes 'cause like um, there's this one game Tower of hell and it's basically you have to do an Obby all the way up to the top and there's a time limit, yeah, so um, if people send you a friend request it pops up in the corner so when you're pressing the jump button you can always accidentally press accept or decline,
oh
but you can... if you press on someone you can report block or unfriend,
oh that's brilliant, sorry how did you bring that up?
you tap on them,
yeah, tap on their name and three dots and chat is you can chat to them but it's all um, monitored so like you can't say like swear words or anything or it'll uh tag it
And you only get chat from your friends so if you know all your friends,
yeah, it's okay if you get chat, yeah, okay.
Anyway, so you have made a friend request to me, yes, and I can see that my little bell icon up here so I'll click on the Bell icon
and you can either ignore it or accept it,
okay, so I'll hit accept and then I can hit chat,
there we go straight away it added your thing there and it can see that you're online, let's say I join a game so if I go hello here on chat you get a notification
I don't get a notification though it's only in... so on homepage, yeah, there's these bits at the bottom so this is just looking at games
this is your profile,
yeah,
this one you can see chats, yeah, so you can see you said hello say hi back,
okay brilliant so should we play a game together together then?
yeah,
what was that pizza one that you did,
oh yeah, let me find it,
what kind of games are there, there's one where you can like make pizzas you know you can
there's all sorts of games like I said it's just like an app store you can look up what sort of genre you want as well so let's say I look up hobbies it'll come up with all these sort of obbys I can play or horror games it will come up with all the horror games there are there are a lot of horror games
what what are horror games,
well they're just like creepy jump scares mostly
again I don't know what that is so you're playing the game and then something really horrible comes up,
yeah it's almost like you have to like some games you just have to like get through the mansion without dying or something I don't know
okay that's cheery um all right so find find me a nice game work at a pizza place
I misspelled it, yeah,
and that's as easy it's as easy as that you just look up click on the one you like and hit play, yeah, and then how do I join in with this
so you've accepted my friend request all you got to do is tap on it and press join to join me,
oh wow
and then look it pops up on mine greatstoryteam joined you with this game this is just entirely one of the different games you can do but you can choose what kind of job you want to do,
okay, now it looks like Roblox is a lot lot easier to play on an iPad.
Yes, cuz I need my glasses. It's so small on my phone. Let's find my glasses.
That's why there's a lot of iPad kids. So there's this nickname people have for like kids to show they're really young like iPad kids. It's hard to explain.
I've not heard that. So young players are called iPad kids?
Yeah, well, like if you're having beef with someone, um,
why would you have beef with someone?
A lot of people on Roblox, yeah,
'cause this is the way you're playing,
I guess. So I don't know,
this is a whole underworld.
Yeah, oh, it's hard to explain. It's like saying, oh, you're an iPad kid. You can't say anything. It's like showing that you're really young and stuff. Obviously there are a lot of teenagers on this game, yeah, and it sort of shows like seven years old and stuff,
but they play on their phone, so they're not iPad kids. So iPad kids are ones,
well, people can play on monitors, phones, it's just a little nickname.
Oh, you can play this on a computer,
yeah, Joe plays it on his.
Oh, I didn't know that. So what do I choose? I'm stuck here. What do I choose? Delivery? You can choose whatever one you want. Well, can I work with you? Yeah, I like the idea of pizza boxer cook. So what have I got to do, Chef?
How do you know what to do when you go into a game? How do you know?
Well, you sort of have to stay on it for a bit.
So I'm using my finger to drag around so I can see myself.
Oh, yeah, so to move around, yeah, you have this left box here
and it looks like a joystick.
And then this is to look around, so to look around you just have to, okay, so you touch the screen to look around and you use the joystick that's on the left-hand side, but even though you can't see the joystick.
Are all games like this?
Um, yeah, all games are like that pretty much.
So there's um, there's a pizza there. What do I do with that?
Um, where
it was on the floor. Oh, then you can't pick up, okay, there'll probably be cockroaches.
So now I'm standing on the pizzas. Wait, what does the right button do?
What right button? Oh, this is a jump button.
Oh, yeah, there I am, where are you? How do you know what to do?
Ah, 'cause I played this game.
Yeah, but are there instructions?
No, you sort of just have to get the hang of it.
Are all games like that?
Yeah, pretty much. Wow, so it's not like it doesn't tell you what to do,
you just got some games when you join, it will give you a little bit of instructions, but otherwise you just have to figure it out.
So I'm in the pizza making area.
Yes,
what do I, what do I do?
So to make a pizza, yeah, come over here, yeah, um, you grab, you touch the piece of dough on the side. Oh, yeah, and bring it down to, oh, there's an arrow. Oh, yeah, then that will be your instructions, just tap it and then touch it on the thing. Oh, I can't do this.
Swap.
Okay, so you tap on the piece of dough and bring it to there,
and then just put stuff on it.
So you always have to put cheese on it, yeah, and you can put um either pepperoni or sausage on it. Do you see that bit there?
So go to copy that,
yeah, and then you put it in the oven.
But I haven't copied it, you have, there's pepperoni on it.
Oh, okay, well how do I put it in the oven? So I drag it like that. You need to also, like, watch, that man's on fire!
Yeah, you can get on fire as well. How?
Yeah, did you just put me in the oven?
Here we go, whoa, and then you burn to a bacon crisp.
And then what?
And then you die,
seriously.
Look, hold on, I have to be on fire for a bit, hold on. No, look, there we go, I burnt to a crisp, and then I rejoined to like this, I just,
oh, I'm back again. Yeah, okay, so basically I'm doing someone's job,
yes.
Okay, and you earn money, and there's houses in this game too. You can get different houses depending on how much money you have
from working in the pizza restaurant,
yeah. So that's how it works, you can buy lots of things to decorate your house with, right? I named it, oh, look, the pizza's on fire. Oh yeah, you left it in the oven for too long.
So what do I do now, are you walking to the oven?
Yeah, you can burn to a crisp!
So all you have to do in this situation when it's on fire, there's a fire extinguisher, and you can just tap on the screen, and it'll blow out the fire.
So there's a lot to do here, isn't there? Yeah, and this is just in one room, yeah. There's a whole restaurant with this game, yes.
There's lots of different jobs.

Does your PC hang on the BIOS screen when you turn it on? Do you have to click on the BIOS and save to start up Windows? I had this problem too, and it's a REALLY easy fix.
I show you why my PC computer shows the BIOS screen instead of booting up, and what I do to replace the battery on the Motherboard so that Windows 10 or Windows 11 starts when the power is switched on!
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
Hello, welcome back to the Hut. My name is Neil, and this is a really specific video. If like me, you have a Windows PC desktop computer and every time you boot up Windows, you get this BIOS screen on startup instead of your regular Windows welcome screen.
I think I have a fix or a thing to check if you have this problem that might help you.
Take a look at this!
So this is the problem. I can see it on screen now. Sorry, I'm laughing because usually I spend ages making all the lighting correct, but I just want to show you because this is happening right now.
I've just booted up my Windows PC.
Casper's going crazy with a slipper, but so I boot up my Windows PC, and this has been happening every day this week.
And I get this screen, which is a BIOS screen.
It's the thing behind windows that runs your computer.
It's the... this is what runs the motherboard that runs everything that then runs Windows.
And it says - every time it says - press Enter to set up and recover the setting or press F1 to run setup.
And all I can do is press F1, and that brings up this layout of the BIOS.
It's called a BIOS utility. And I have to... the only way I can boot up is by saving and exit that's F10.
So I press F10, and then it asks me if I want to save... “Save!” I haven't done anything!
So I'm going to click okay. And then eventually I get the normal boot up, and Windows kicks in, and then I can log in as normal and Windows runs as usual.
If this is happening to you, I've got a really easy fix for it.
And it took me a long time to figure this out. And once you know it, it's such a simple fix.
But there is a bit of a clue.
But the first thing you should check is the time and the date are wrong.
They're out by well about 8 hours.
And that is the biggest clue that this solution might help you if your Windows PC isn't booting up and you're getting the BIOS screen every time you boot up or you get... I've had like blue screens where a blue screen comes up very suddenly.
There's a really easy fix. So we're going to fix this now or you can at least check this and rule it out for your Windows PC.
If your Windows PC is showing a BIOS screen every time you start up this might be worth trying.
So if you can go into your PC, we're going to go on the hunt for a small battery.
It looks like a watch battery, and it's in different places on different motherboards.
If like me, you know nothing about PCs this Square thing here is a motherboard, don't touch anything on it cuz bad things will happen.
But we're looking for a small watch-style battery.
And I think I have found it here.
So if I zoom in, can you see this battery here?
There you go.
That battery keeps the motherboard powered when you turn it off.
So this is the thing that helps you... well, helps the computer remember the time and date and crucial things to keep the BIOS going in between it being switched off. I've got some fur there from my rug.
Now what I'm going to do - what I would suggest is taking a photo of it in position and whatever position it's in, because whatever position it's in and whatever battery it is if anything happens to it after you've taken it out it would be really good to remember which way round it goes.
So I've taken a photo to remember that this negative side - the side with the rim is on this side of the slot.
Each one is different and almost certainly your battery will be different but this is standing up some of them lie down flat on the motherboard I think.
So I just pull this catch back oh it's bent maybe, maybe that's why it's not making contact.
Anyway I'm just going to pull this catch back and then just pull it out with my hand and here: this could be the thing that's causing all the problems.
A little bit Dusty there, let's turn it around so I know that this battery and each one is different - don't copy this one make sure you get what battery you have oh oh no that's exactly what I didn't want to do!
Oh boy that wasn't good.
I have completely lost the battery in the motherboard - don't do what I just did I'm going to have to get it out somehow now doesn't even rattle!
It's never easy, is it? Look, doesn't even here we go, here we go. Oh, is that it? Oh, it's here, it's here, we're good, we're good. Ah there we go. Right, so I can see now that this is a CR2032.
Now these batteries, they all look the same, they look like this, they're all different, so make sure obviously that you get the exact same lettered, same numbered little battery.
I've got some in the other room, should we go and have a look?
So we need a CR2032.
I'm in luck, there's a couple there, but you can even get them from Ikea, I think.
Look, here's some from Ikea, are they 2032?
Oh my goodness, look at this, CR2032, some Ikea ones.
So do I go for the Kodak ones which I think were from the Pound shop, it's like a dollar store in this country?
Uh, there's some more here, I’ve clearly been through this before.
Okay, I'm going to go for one of these, I'm going to go Ikea.
Put down in the comments which one you would choose.
I've got one from a supermarket, one from a dollar store or pound shop, and one from Ikea.
I'm going to, I'm going to put my trust, my... of my computer into Ikea.
So let's put this back into the motherboard and make sure that I do it the right way around.
Make sure it's the same way around as it came out, push this down and that just clips in, and then we can put the case back onto the computer and just screw that back together, put it all back together again and see if this fixes our BIOS at startup on Windows problem.
We are back in the happy Hut, hello Casper, and this right now is the moment of truth. I'm going to switch on and we will see if the BIOS screen comes on on boot up, computer's on, here we go, what will it be?
No, okay, so what I think has happened is - this is good because I think we'll do one boot up, so I'm going to hit F10 save and exit, okay, and then we'll log into windows, so I'll type in my password,
okay, we're in, so now, um, it's 1315 and it's saying that it's 2148 and it's the wrong date, so what I've going to do is sync up the correct um, time, so I right click on the clock to bring up adjust date and time, and then I'm going to click on synchronize your clock.
Sync now, so I'll click on that box, now we can see that the time is 1316 and hopefully Windows agrees, yes it's found the right time and the right date, so what I'm going to do now is go into Windows shut down, so I'm going do this from scratch, I'm going to shut the Windows PC down and then we're going to restart and then let's see if we get the BIOS screen on boot up.
Here we go, so I'll press the power button and we're in, that's it, that's the normal boot up screen, the PC is booting up without the BIOS screen kicking in. There we go, that is how I fix my Windows PC if the BIOS screen comes on before Windows boots up before Windows boot up, I hope this video is helping you. I'm not a PC expert, this is just one workaround I have to do this about once every two years so I hope this is the same situation for you it's worth a try let me know in the comments if it does work for you and thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the Subscribe button if this helps and right here is what YouTube knows you are going to love watching next.

Hello, welcome back to the channel.
Today is a very special day. It is quite literally the last day of sunshine in my country this year, so I thought it would be a really good chance for me to show you what it's been like having an Ikea SEGLARO parasol for 3 years.
Three years, this has survived and it's in much better shape. Let me take you over here. It's in much better shape than the applaro table worked out. I've made a video about that but to put over the table we bought the eye wateringly expensive for us SEGLARO parasol. We didn't go for the base, we just used slabs which have quite conveniently they had corners taken out so they fit really well but square concrete slabs would have worked. There you are probably aware that there's a special Ikea base for this. It's about half the price of the SEGLARO parasol. It was way too much for us. It's over, I think it's something like $100, it's £100 over here in the UK but let me show you how it's fared.
We've left. You've probably got some questions. I'm not sure I'll answer them all but it might give you a better idea if spending this amount of money on a sun shade is a good idea or not.
We got this 3 years ago. We weren't sure whether or not we should leave it outside. Well, we didn't have any option. It's so big and heavy you can't move it anywhere. We probably should have bought the parasol... parasol? Parasol cover. That probably wasn't a good idea not covering it up because you can probably see there's green. It looks like mold but it's just, um, I think it's just like tree growth. What would you call it? It's like a green staining that's happened to the fabric. We haven't tried washing it off because we didn't want to ruin the waterproofness of the parasol fabric. I think my worry at the time was if you put a cover over it, it would get damp inside and it would actually grow mold. The exact opposite happened. I thought the rain would keep it clean but, uh, you can probably see that that idea didn't work out for me so you might want to invest in a 220 cm parasol cover for your SEGLARO parasol. Let me give you a closer look and show you how it's been for us. It's been absolutely fantastic by the way, really happy with it. It's got a clip here which holds the whole unit to the pillar so that if you're having a storm or bad weather it keeps it tight and stops it from blowing around. It's really easy to unclip. Just squeeze that, that releases the fabric and then let me show you the, the, the crucial handle which is really nicely designed I think. This is what it's like after 3 years so it's in really good condition. We haven't cleaned it or anything so what you do it is push the button. I can do it one-handed while holding the camera. You push the button in to release the teeth and then you can push it up with one hand. So it's a bit difficult doing this while holding the camera as well but it shows you how easy it is that brings out the bar to here and you can push it all the way up to the top. Now I'll crank the handle and that pulls this cord that will pull this bottom bit up to the top and that will open up the parasol so let's just open this up now. That's quite impressive, it's huge. It's absolutely massive so we can get this large table underneath the parasol. I need to stand back a bit so you can see it all. What can I tell you, this has had absolutely no maintenance. It's had no cleaning and we've just taken it completely for granted for 3 years solid. Now there is some discoloration on the fabric and there are actually some tiny holes which I'll show you. I'll also show you in a moment what this looks like when the weather isn't so good because we've had it up in rain. I think I he say you can use it in light showers but it's it's pretty big to put it out in windy conditions but this has been out in heavy rain as a sun shade, it's absolutely perfect. The, you can angle it so let me let me show you how that works if you push the button. It's quite impressive and then pull it down can you see it, it sort of comes up and acts as a total sunblock and well I think technically they say it's not UV 100% UV sunblock but look at that look it's completely blocks to the sun. We have an Ikea sofa and a really large Ikea dining table which can get six people around it if you... if you squeeze in.
It's quite a large table, and this SEGLARO parasol does look at the shade that it throws, and you can adjust it really easily. I'll show you that in a moment as well, but having something this big, I thought would be a bit ridiculous, but it has really helped on super sunny, super hot days to stop people from frying in the garden on the patio here. To put it back up into more like a roof-like position, you just do the reverse, so we click the button, and again, this is all one hand, and that brings it into whatever position you want. To angle it down at the bottom, it's got this little key that holds it in place, and there are these notches, so I can now twist this again one-handed with the camera, and you can turn the pole, the central pole around. So, I'm shooting into the sun, you can't see it, you can just turn it. I can't turn it much more than that because it'll hit the garage. We can turn it like this. You can just hold the handle and hang on. I use my other hand to spin this around so we can turn it the other way. So, you've got a complete 360° turn here. I'm just blocked by the garage behind us, so that stops me from turning it all the way around, but you get the idea, right? This is probably because we didn't have a cover one year, where we can see it, there's a hole there which I think is probably caused by a bug. It might have been an ember from a fire, but I think it's more likely a bug has snacked on that. That's the only hole that we have on what is a massive expanse of fabric, so I'm really pleased with how it's weathered. This is the discoloration again. I was hoping that the sunshine would somehow burn it off or the rain would wash it off, but it's not too ugly, so we've just left it how it is. I remember when we first saw it in the Ikea showroom, it just seemed really super expensive and super massive. Even in the showroom, it looks, it doesn't look small, and neither does the price tag. What I think has helped is it looks really good. The aluminum pole and handle haven't rusted at all, they look as in good condition as when we bought it. The ease with being able to unfurl it, open the parasol and close the parasol, it's just really easy, even the kids can do it, and we like how it looks when it's open and when it's folded up. So overall, it’s... It's been a really good purchase. It has actually lasted way longer than I thought it would and it's been used a lot more than I thought it would. I thought it would just be a bit of shade over the table for when, you know, on the three occasions that we eat out here but we've had loads of family over and it just really helps having that area where the sofas are covered as well as the table. It's just a bit of shade in the garden on the patio. I don't think I'm going to be opening it up when the storm that comes tomorrow. I'm going to keep this lashed up. I'll show you how I take it down. This is what the Ikea SEGLARO parasol is like in really bad super bad weather. We've got a storm coming and, uh, let me just show you what it's like. So I got the kids enjoying themselves on the trampoline. I don't know if you can still hear me but this is how the Ikea SEGLARO parasol looks in the rain. If you are wondering whether or not it's waterproof, it's holding out. It doesn't leak even though there are a couple of holes in it. It's absolutely watertight. I don't think it's designed to be used in the rain and I think Ikea would probably really advise against using it in the rain but look, you can see the rain just running off. Let me go to the corner here. It's working out really well as a, what as an umbrella as if to prove the waterproofness of the SEGLARO. Look, I've got these other Ikea products not the cap but these are drying out because they got caught in the rain and we've had that underneath the parasol and you can see these are absolutely bone dry. If you can get your chairs underneath the parasol, it really works as a bit of brain cover but we do only do this very very very rarely so we wouldn't advise you do it but it... it holds out. I am calling this an Ikea dad delivers success by the way. I made this whole video 3 years ago about the assembling the Ikea SEGLARO parasol how we bought it how we put it together and what it was like for the first time so this video shows you what it looks like when it's fresh out of the boxes and how big those boxes are if you want to see how the parasol looks when it's pristine like this that link to that video is down in the description or on screen now.

How do you format an external drive on MacBook Pro? If you need to format an SD card, pendrive, external drive, SSD or HDD, I walk you through step by step how to format a disk in a macbook pro or macbook air. This might come in helpful if you need to erase or wipe an external drive like a Samsung T7 SSD, Lacie hard drive or other memory cards.
π» MY BEST EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE FOR MACBOOK PRO: ππππ
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
Hello, welcome back to the Happy Hut.
It's nice and bright out here today but it is still cold - 2°. So I'll try and get through this as quickly as possible.
If you have a MacBook Pro or air, how do you format an external drive like this one?
So that's how do you wipe or erase storage cards like an SD card, micro SD card, a rugged Lacie hard drive, or a portable SSD drive like this Samsung T7.
I'm walking you through the formatting process step by step because I need to do this right now and wipe this external hard drive.
And, I always forget how to erase drives and format them on a Mac so I'm making this video so that I've got somewhere I can come back to when I can't remember. This is the desktop for my MacBook Pro. You're watching this in the future but I hope it's like your Mac or MacBook Air and we are going to go down into Launchpad and then we'll choose this folder labelled “other”.
It used to be called “utilities”, if you can't find this folder.
The app we need to use is called disc utility, it's this one here.
So I'll click on that.
The next thing we'll do is to plug in the external hard drive that we want to format and my MacBook is asking “allow accessory to connect?” so I'll click on allow.
Okay, this is interesting I wasn't expecting this.
It says “the disk you attached was not readable by this computer”.
What I'm going to do is click on “ignore” and see what happens.
Now this is great because on the left hand side of the disk utility I can see the Samsung T7 has appeared so at least I can access it from disk utility.
I can do a few things, if I right-click on the T7 hard drive it brings up these options:
I can run first aid or I can choose “erase”.
The other place where I can erase this disc is up here on the menu bar.
If I choose edit - the edit menu - it brings up this option here “erase” but I want to be absolutely sure that I'm erasing the t7 and nothing else.
So I'm going to right-click on the t7 just to be safe - just to be sure I get the right one!
And I'll highlight “erase” and then I'll click on erase.
This brings up an option to name the disc, so I think I'm going to call it Samsung t7 and we have some options for how we want to format our disk.
I'm going to choose ExFAT.
Say in the comments what you would choose but I've always used ExFAT for storing videos and it seems to work really well for me so I'll click ExFAT and I'm going to leave the other options untouched. So now big moment, I'm going to click on the big scary erase button.
Wish me luck!
Erase process is complete!
Click done to continue so I click “done”.
In the top right hand corner you can see on my desktop the Samsung t7 external hard drive - my SSD - is completely ready to go. So now I can copy over files to my heart's content and now you have successfully erased or formatted your external hard drive on your Mac: congratulations!
If this video is helping thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the Subscribe button it really helps me out. And right here is what YouTube knows you are going to love watching next! Can you please help my dad get to 1 million subscribers just click on his face thanks bye can we have dinner now?
How do you LEAVE a WhatsApp group chat? I show you how to exit from any WhatsApp group PLUS what happens AFTER you leave? What can everyone else in the group see, and how is the WhatsApp Group admin notified? I also show how to turn off WhatsApp group notifications...
THIS IS THE TRANSCRIPT - CLICK PLAY ON THE VIDEO ABOVE!
Hello! WhatsApp can be a complete pain sometimes especially when someone adds you to a group chat.
But you don't leave the group because you don't know what message everyone else in the group gets.
The new thing I'm trying to make your family happy is: how to leave a WhatsApp group!
We'll go through this together step by step and I'll show you exactly what happens when you leave a group.
I'll just put the... the app up on screen now and before we leave the group chat... if the group is just annoying you... you can turn off notifications for the group.
Just click on the title of the group here at the top of the screen.
Scroll down to “mute notifications” and click on the toggle switch here, and you can choose how long to turn notifications off.
To leave the WhatsApp group, first go into the group you want to leave.
Then click on the title of the group at the top of the screen.
That brings up this menu: scroll down and at the bottom here you can see the option to “exit group”.
Click on this button and WhatsApp asks you to confirm that you want to leave the group.
The group admin will be notified, so on the group admins feed they see this message: “daddy Mossey left”.
And when they open the group they see “Daddy Mossey left”, here in the group chat feed.
The group's messages and pictures are all left in your WhatsApp feed so you don't lose those and there's a message at the bottom: “You can't send messages to this group because you're no longer a member.”
I am calling this a dad delivers success!
Congratulations!
If you want to stop people being able to add you to any WhatsApp group, I made this video right here and it will block anyone adding you to a WhatsApp group.
Say hi in the comments, it would be lovely to hear from you and thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the Subscribe button it really helps me to run this channel.

I know the title seems a bit much but hear me out, could this be the end of YouTube shorts? Are you smiling at that thought? Shame on you.
YouTube shorts are amazing. The YouTube gurus tell us - they bring in millions of views and can get you hundreds or even thousands of subscribers but zero watch time, if you're trying to get 4,000 hours in one year to get monetized... and 0 dollars if you are monetized.
I, you could probably tell, I am not the biggest fan of YouTube shorts but I dislike the YouTube gurus gushing about them because they treat YouTube shorts like they’re mini trailers for our long form videos and they're not.
You can keep trying and now linking shorts to long form videos but they do not work like trailers because shorts are for a completely different audience.
If they work for you please say hi in the comments, let me know your experiences down below. But for me, I think YouTube shorts work brilliantly for YouTube in keeping people on the YouTube app on their phones and this is where things might be about to change.
Maybe even in a huge way and maybe for the better, if you don't like shorts!
I saw this by accident on Friday and then I just lost my weekend.
This could really change the mobile experience on the YouTube app forever but it's not available yet on my other YouTube accounts so it's only being rolled out now. You're watching this in the future, what happened next?
We can now play games on YouTube.
YouTube calls these playables and they're also available on desktop.
On the left-hand side right at the bottom of all the things that you can browse on but they're basically mobile games.
There are under 40 games available right now.
I want to show you a couple I got hooked on and then I'll show you all of them and I'll try to share why I think this could eat into YouTube shorts viewing more than anything else.
The place at the moment to find YouTube playables on the YouTube app is... if you scroll down it just offers them amongst your feed so if I keep scrolling down here we go it's about five shelves down at the moment.
You're watching this in the future they'll change this until it's right for the algorithm.
We can see here it's it's labelled quite clearly playables on YouTube instant games no downloads. I'm going to put my glasses on so I can see, let's click on view all and these are all the playables that are available at the time of recording.
I'm sure when you're watching this there will be hundreds more, but it's about 40 games at the moment, and we have two tabs.
There's a Home tab where I can continue playing.
I'm going to show you these games in a moment, and popular, uh, so it's quite a clean interface at the moment.
If I click on browse just to give you a sense of what kind of games there are, look, block drop, I'm guessing we'll look at it in a moment, but I'm thinking that's a Tetris knockoff, cut the rope, crossword, solitaire... Let me show you the game that I'm absolutely addicted to at the moment.
So I click on home and then I'll click on continue playing. Now what's interesting about this, I can't find a way of resetting it.
As you move along you get coins that you can spend on how many units that you start with, so you can click that one, or how fast that the units are produced.
I'm going to do that. I'll just give you one round just to show you the kind of games on playables at the moment.
This is State io and what you do is you drag you... you're this team down here the blue team and I'm going to drag these two up here and attack the other colour States.
So we're going for greens here and then I can join them up and attack the Reds at the top there.
And you can take over the neutral States as well so if I attack this - your number obviously needs to be bigger than the number of the states you're attacking - and as you can see I didn't have enough there so the neutral state is going to rack back up to 80 again.
What I'll do is... I'll join both States together and then I'll Attack that 60 with everything... let’s put everything I've got on onto them.
Oops I missed!
You take over state by state until you are the last colour on the map.
I'm going to attack with everything I've got - take that red!
You've won!
Now I've been I've been doing this for hours it's just... it's pure dopamine
Oh look I've got to... I've got to do it again...
This is just the purest dopamine delivery device!
Hours disappear!
If I click on the X it says “Are you sure you want to exit the game?”
I was worried that I'd lose my progress but it seems to save it in your YouTube account as you go along which is fantastic!
If we go over to playables on the YouTube desktop it can be found at youtube.com/playables - But if your account isn't enabled for this yet it will show an error message.
And like I said before, the playables is on the left-hand bar all the way down at the moment it's under podcasts...
And when we go to the homepage I can see State.IO here.
So this is the same game I'm playing, and if I click on open and then it's pretty much exactly where we left off.
And you can play in the same way so if you have a touch screen you can play the game like that or I'm using a mouse and keyboard.
I'm so addicted to this.
I've got to... I've got to stop!
I'm pretending that this is a useful video but actually it's just a chance for me to play more playables!
Take that green!
Let's get rid of the other greens here.
It's almost like a seamless experience between the mobile and the desktop apps.
The other game I have been completely glued to is words of Wonders.
It's... it's like what's that game?
Is it Boggle?
Where you've got to make words from the from the letters uh so we got pest um we've got steps...
Play along with me!
We've got pet... I've got pets...
If you get stuck like I am right now you can hit the hint button - that spends 100 gems and that's given me a “T” there well that's... that's oh how about set?
Yeah! We can also reveal a letter with this Hammer icon here.
If I tap on that 200 - I'm spending 200 gems just for you.
I can tap any tile.
Let's tap that one - oh that's not really helpful.
We've got step, how about step... oh well that's easy... sets... let's try that yay!
And then you work up through the levels and you unlock different uh buildings and it's easy to exit the game as well, just pick it up where... where you left off.
I know let's keep the games playing.
I'll just scroll through different games on the side here, you know just to up the distraction and dopamine value.
Here is why I think this is going to have a huge impact.
The first thing is I was playing on this for like 3 hours.
It was just pure unadulterated dopamine hit, before I realized there are no ads and how many times do you or your family download sus free games that drain your battery?
And do who knows what with your data?
But it's the ads that are just a killer, and of course I'm very sure YouTube will bring ads into playables, but for now it's a really weird experience playing non-stop free games with no having to wait 20 seconds all the way through.
I'm sure the ads are going to appear shortly, but for now they're not, and it's a good experience.
And then it hit me: the time that you and I are spending on playing YouTube playables will be time that we're not scrolling through YouTube shorts videos!
I'm sure YouTube shorts will cope; they'll continue.
But it does feel funny that these YouTube games will eat into that YouTube shorts watch time, in probably the same way that YouTube shorts eat into the long-form videos' watch time.
And we've seen a clear split now between the videos that you could watch on TV and the stuff that you can just scroll on your phone to kill some time.
I wonder how much watch time playables will cannibalize from YouTube shorts.
It's not going to affect creators because many of us get so little from shorts anyway.
I think my biggest objection to shorts is this: the biggest reaction you can ever get from a YouTube short is this.
It's just not the same experience as a long-form video.
And this split between just swiping on your phone or sitting down and chromecasting or streaming long-form YouTube videos on a smart TV, those two experiences are going to become even further apart now which is fascinating.
But what are you thinking?
Do you have playables yet?
Do you think this will affect anything for you as a YouTube Creator?
Are YouTube shorts working for you financially, creatively, community building-ly?
Say hi in the comments below; it would be great to hear from you. And thank you for hitting the thumbs up or the Subscribe button; it really helps me to keep this thing going. And right here is what YouTube knows you want to watch next after playing some more playables, probably.
