Setting the clock on a Lamona oven - UNDERSTANDING YOUR BRITISH DAD #BRITISHDAD

- Setting the clock on a Lamona oven -

changing the time on a howdens kitchen lamona oven, or set the clock

Here’s how to change the clock on a Lamona oven.

Hold down the first two buttons on the left,

then keep holding those 2 buttons down while you use the + or - buttons to set the time.

Here's my badly shot video!

It's not funny and by the time you see this, it’s probably not much use to you either.

But at least I know where I can find the answer now.

I get at least 10 hits per day from people searching for this.
You must all have Howdens Kitchens.

Also - don't think the Lamona oven works until the clock has been set...

Leave me a comment if it helped!

-- this is an old post now, so I have to approve each comment, which sometimes takes a while--- sorry about that - it looks like your comment didn't get through.
I do get all your comments though, and I do approve them, just didn't want you to think they're being ignored.

By the way, I blog here most days, all about - being a British Dad. (there's no manual for that, either).

    1. haha - think its a GOOD question - We don't know the correct (safe) Lamona/Howdens answer, but we do close the oven door when we're using the grill.

I think if we left it open the heat would melt the plastic buttons and knobs

  14. Ah thanks for the update -- Lamona technology has probably taken a huge leap forward.

Meanwhile the silver paint has fallen off our timer button.

Like we use it that much.

Thanks so much for sorting that out for us. The last electric cut resulted in Dad and myself in a random button pressing exercise. Now we have the answer. Great idea with it all on video.
    Owe you a pint!
    Cheers Mark

  19. Thanks! I moved into a house with a Lamona oven, and could not work out how to reset the clock after a power cut. Whose stupid idea was it to disable the oven entirely unless the clock is set?

  20. My pleasure! It's barmy, isn't it...
One day at Lamona someone sat down and decided that their ovens wouldn't work without the clock...

  21. You can always request a copy of the instruction manual from any of the 530+ Howdens branches in the country - they are in every large town.

Was here when I moved in and I am sure it was this site that helped me get the cooker clock on so I'm could turn on the darn oven : )
